Just read in tonights HDM about Tommy Lee and was wondering what was the outcome regarding Mike Burnetts in the altercation.Is he still suspended or has the matter been resolved.

id say the ban they recieved at the end of the season plus a heavy fine each was about it,apart from that it doesnt realy matter now tommy has gone,pointless bringing it all up again.

Not really pointless,the club issue a statement and then there's no follow up. Its not surprising those [iNOT IN THE KNOW[/i wonder whats happening.

Why do we need to know whats happened to a couple of players having a bit of a punch up when one of them have left anyway,like the statement said it was an internal matter anyway.

Not a good way to leave for Lee though must admit, as for Burnett, glad he can get on with the rest of his career. Much better prospect.

Also Burnetts absence has got nothing to do with he was just 1 game away from a bonus for his apperances thats why he was also left out of the Catalans and Harlequins games before the suspension, so the fight with Tommy Lee was also ideal for the club.

Not saying we need to know the decision but considering the club felt the need to issue a statement on this initially a follow up statement saying the process had been concluded would have sufficed. Either that or don't comment on the issue in the first place as it's an internal matter.

I can understand the OP and Darrell asking what has happened.

That wouldnt make sence because Hull will have to pay the bonus at some point and given that you were running about half a million below the cap limit, this year would be the year to pay it out.
Or are you implying that paying it out would have put you over the salary cap limit? Suppose the conspiracy theorists would point to the fact that Kingy is being paid off in installments for the same reason.

If Burnett had played one more game he would get his bonus but Hulls board been tight with there money didn't want to pay him it. If you make so amny appearances in a season you get a bonus and he fell one short.

I heard this story countless times down the years with various players mentioned, I frankly don't believe it.

If this has been the case maybe the board thought this as punishment for his indiscretion? Not saying it's correct. Also if this has happened it's concerning from a team selection policy point of view!
