Thought it'd be interesting to see people's preferences for our opening 2010 fixture. I imagine we'll play away from home to start off considering we were at home for our first game this year, so personally i'd like to see us go to Cas. It's only an hour down the road, it's always a great atmosphere down there and it would be a good, tough test for us.

When are the fixtures out anyway?

usually the first monday in december or after the internationals have finished

Leeds or Saints for me. It will give the team the hardest start possible and we the fans can then judge on how the pre season preparations have gone. Further more we will see what impact Long, Fits and O'Meley have had on the squad. Pull off the win then happy days, build on confidence. If we play a lower level team an win then we may fall into the 'false sense of security pit' again.

Agreed, although we started at home this season v Wigan - don't know whether that matters. Long v Saints either home or away would be great.

I hope we get a "realistic" start to the season, we need 5 games against different types of sides so we can see if we need to replace Agar.

For the last few years the fixtures have been released to the public just after midnight on the last Monday in November (i.e. Sunday night/Monday morning).
