As a serious point though, how good was greg bird tonight?
He's a pr!ck off the pitch but was a class above on the pitch. For a small man he don't half put his weight about.

I was surprised by the way he ran the ball in at times tonight, not something you expect froma player in his position.

He really does. He must be giving away 4 stone to Danny Sculthorpe but that his lifted him right off his feet.

Plus he hit hard as hell!

Agree, he is an awesome player, I thought Catalans defence was solid, I was impressed that they kicked on the 3rd to make good ground unless they got close then ran it, a very organised game, should be interesting doubt leeds will pick them

I thought Catalans defence was superb, Also the loss of a player within 2 mins didn't help either . Still , A game for the purist.

I know it's early days but it seems Hudds might be shaping up like St George, perennial contenders but always coming up short.

Be interesting to see if leeds pick catalans as the lowest finishing side or give them a miss due to their current form. If I were leeds I'd take the winners of tomorrow night's game and let cats smash saints all over the field next week and pick off the winners of that game the week after

Leeds have an interesting decision, though I think the decision is based more on who they think will tire Saints more. As Leeds will beat any of the other 3 teams in the competition with ease.

Interestingly, both have finished the season with the same number of major trophies. And Agar wins hands down when it comes to minor trophies.

Glad Catalans won to be honest. Hoepfully Leeds and Catalans final.

I think Leeds will be hoping Rovers win because they have done the hard work preparing for them last week.
If it is a choice between Cats & Wigan i reckon they will go for the Cats.

I'd chose the lowest ranked team left in it personally, so Catalans.

I doubt Rovers will beat Wigan to be honest Wigan have won 9 out of 11 which is the form you want to be hitting coming into the playoffs.

Leeds will not pick wigan but i think they will pick rovers. They have played them 3 times and beat them even though they have played poorly or under strength each time.

Cats have beat Leeds once this season already. Wigan have beaten Leeds once.

Now given a choice would you play team you had beat 3 times or a team you had beaten once and lost once to during the season?????

Personally I think Leeds will choose the lowest rank side, as if they did not have the choice that is who they would have faced anyway.

So if they had a choice between Rovers and Cats you think they will pick Cats???

Should Wigan win tomorrow night Leeds would be foolish not to pick Catalans, if only because of the intensity of a Saints/Pies "derby" and what it would take out of the winner of that game before the GF.

I think Leeds' call will be for catalan, if rovers were to win I would send them to saints as they have beaten them twice this year, and Leeds will want saints out of the way as they have proven they have the beating of rovers this season.
If wigan were to win I'd send them to saints also, a local derby will take a lot out of both teams and Leeds will hope that whom ever they face will be emotionally and physically drained.


Still can't see anything but a Leeds v Saints final, would of been a lot more interesting if Leeds could of picked Saints.
