James Rule doesn't play, give the players direct instruction or decide who's Captain, so its a little bit far from the mark to call for his head, when we can all see these are Agars f*** ups. Hearing "it was just one or two things that cost us" is about as boring a "non-statement" as it could be! That's like standing next to your wrecked car after an accident and saying "well, if that other car hadn't have been there...", well it was, so its a sh*t point!

I think Rule is getting his balance of success on and off the field wrong, currently we do very well off the field with merchandising and other revenue streams, if only James would put as much work in with the on-field antics, maybe we'd be in a better position. (...and that was meant with all due respect)

My point is that I don't think he's got the experience to do everything yet, but I don't believe FC should be used someone's learning curve, if he wants to learn then he should go to Uni and play with pretend teams for a while.

FWIW, I think Rule will BECOME a good CE, he's just not there yet and I believe Hetherington isn't the person to bring him on. Who's going to tell him when he's wrong and guide him?!

He needs a stronger person than Kath, but I just don't think its going to happen any time soon.

just some words of comfort though, remember what you were saying during the dark days of the peter walsh era and you went on to 3 major finals and a cup win in the end things change quickly in this game but you need to hit your board in the wallet, thats the only thing they care about.

Its taken then time period to get back towards the top of the top flight.

A CEO is supposed to be the main man, the decision maker. Its blindingly evident he is either not allowed to make the big decision with regard to the coach or hasn't got the minerals to do it.

If he hasn't got the experiance to be the top man, he shouldn't be in the job.

I personally couldn't care less if he will BECOME a good CE. A company in the top end of its industry shouldn't be headed up by someone still learning the ropes.

Also, like her or not, Hetherington is a lot stronger an individual then some would hope to beleive.

Rule Has been to Uni, Newcastle to be exact. You cannot academically learn to run a company, you gain it via experiance of doing the roles you then go on to oversee.

None of us are really aware of what KH does. Like Bradford fans are unaware of Peter Hood's involvement and Leeds fans are unlikely to know Caddicks role.

I said this months ago about rule. No doubt that plummer wasn't the best ceo ever, and he had a great face for radio, however he was far and away better than rule. Just another example of the club appointing a cheap "yes" man into a key position and it backfiring

Plummer was awful speaking the media, and of course had the infamous invisible ink in his pen which has (whether its hard to admit or not) been the incident that has sparked off our downfall. Apart from a brief spell from Matt Head and some cup games from Dykes, we haven't been the same team since Cooke left. And the club should never have been in the position where the thought would have entered Cooke's head.

I'm on the fence about Rule, his constant spin annoys me, but at the same time I think some people think he is the one making all the decisions, when the impression i get is he is only the mouth piece for the rest of the board.

Im sick to death of the terms " world class " and " charisma " when we talk about coaches ( in relation to our club esp ).

We aint going to get a world class coach, whatever that is !

Lack of charismatic leadership, as opposed to charisma alone, is one of Agar's biggest failings. I doubt as to whether RA understands the concept nevermind having the wherewithal to use it to motivate his players.

No....They just signed half our squad, tempted another of our squad.......and jumped at our 'planned' future players........It worked though.....KR are a good team, but so were we before the injuries/ lack of confidence.......It COULD happen to any team!!!!!
