Does anybody have a link to an article where James Rule said he didn't expect the credit crunch to hit attendances. He also said that rugby would be one of the things people would sacrifice last? I need to find and have been searching the hull fc website and a couple of others, as well as goole and can't find it. I'm not particularly good at searching for things like this either

Actually might as well put this in here, it does look like we are stuggling slightly sponsorship wise, the hoardings round the pitch do seem to have a lot of blanks.

Can any of you confirm that the mini mod rugby games at the KC are only held if the club gets sponsorship for it?

not too sure on that one, but i do know they advertise a community dev. partner sponsorhip or something like that , which funds it for the kids and parents tickets etc plus stadium tour and whatever else they get

Someone told me a few weeks back, and he is a Hull FC fan, that his lad was set to play in the mini mods at some point on the matchday, but the day before the two teams got a call from the club to say it had been cancelled and the reason given was that no sponsorship had been raised to allow the game to go ahead.

All sounds a bit odd to me, and surely the club or the SMG wouldn't deprive youngsters the chance to play on the KC in front of a decent crowd would they?

Not sure and it does seem odd, normally they may not be allowed if the pitch is wet/had a bit of hammer, but first ive heard of this.

I'll email THE RULE next time he's on KCFM, see if he squirms out of it.
