Decent game this morning, Newcastle look a good side, I love the way Uate returns kicks (if he catches them), runs a million miles an hour at big blokes.

I was, that was a little bit of a turning point in the game, it could have been 50 or 60 if they'd scored that set but it was like they'd decided they'd kick every kickable penalty and weren't going to go away from that.

I was going to say Melbourne's performance was the best in round one but Newcastle were superb today . They cut the Tigers to pieces all over the park. Uate was unstoppable again and agree with Wizeb about Miller.

Really can't see why miller was so highly regarded,but then it's hard tp tell on one game.Maybe he'll improve as the season goes on.A lot of the tigers play goes through Marshall so miller didn't get too much ball.

Really enjoyed the Eels performances although sadly I can't see them keeping it up. Sandow and Hayne are the key for them. Storm were efficient as ever and will be the team to beat. The Knights were also impressive against Wests.

What a game Bulldogs vs Eels was, went right down to the wire.

I'd be surprised if the Eels finished bottom this season , Agree about Hayne & Sandow though . I expect a big season from Sandow but Hayne needs to be more consistent in his performances . Already seen one very good performance by him , Followed up by a mediocre one.

Hayne was really poor yesterday, but is one of the best on his day.

Probably, but they didn't really look like they had much of a plan in attack, very few runners off the ball and not that much movement of the ball wide, apart from kick returns Morris and Nightingale didn't really have much of it.

That run from Reed was the turning point I thought, got Broncos 50 yards downfield from having been on their goal line for ages.

Where have we heard that before , There's still enough class in St George to score the points . It was a case of poor handling and some very good Broncos defence what did it for them in that game imo.

Jacob miller looked quite lively

Raiders look like there in a hole already .I thought last season they were poor but they seemed to have found a new level . Titans looked again impressive but never really had to do much to beat the Raiders .
