Would love to have Fonua back, him and Faraimo on the wings with Carlos and Connor/Griffin in the Centres would be ace. But I can't see it I'm afraid. Our back is already pretty strong and will be stronger next year anyway.

Cas seems a good fit, but would hate to see him against us and succeeding at another club. Much like seeing Watts at Cas, and when Tom Briscoe left for them.

You rate Fonua higher than Kelly, Sneyd, Taylor, Carlos, Houghton and Connor in their positions? He was a brilliant player for us, up there with our best, but I'm not sure about that statement.

Yes I do. He was a player that I held my breath every time he got the ball. A real X factor player with genuine physicality too.

We need the cap space for forwards which is more urgent so doubt we would have space for Fonua unless we perhaps made him a marquee

I doubt making him marquee would make any difference to whether or not we can find the cap space. Would he really be earning more than 150k anyway?

I can see him being a marquee player for a team, so that wage would probably be about right. I would look to spend that money elsewhere in the pack where it is more needed, as has already been said.

When he left us, I said at the time he would be back in Super League within 2 years. Unless as Bonaire suggested and we release Dawson-Jones, which I can’t see due to length of contract, we can’t afford him.

I'd fonua cant get an nrl contract someone in sl will take him. Maybe rovers as their outside backs are shocking

Danny seems irreplaceable, we are so lucky to have him. But not sure Radders feels Jez Litten is ready yet.

Parcell would be good of the bench, giving Houghton some much needed rest time, and possibly helping him to extend his playing days with us. Just a thought no more.

Jordan Thompson was also on a 2 year deal the same as Jones.
Injury apart, the arrival of Swift means his future game time will now be very limited and i think he will move on.
Langtree,Thompson have gone for that reason and Jones will be the third.

How many Hull fans would lose Connor, Kelly, Sneyd, Houghton or Taylor for the chance to sign Fonua, I'd hope none.

We already have enough players who can’t tackle

Some people seem to believe there is the perfect player out there and when there is any flaw is a players game they focus on that rather than the 90% which the player does well. I bet you bemoan props for having no real pace.

It’s fair to say most wingers are not great defenders. That said Fonua could put in some spectacular hits at times.

He was great for us, but wing is hardly the priority. I certainly would not advocate a winger being on marquee money.

I'd probably say on par with Carlos. He's a different type of player, not a game changer like Mahe but a very good centre at that. I'd sign Carlos up for life, big fan.
