At then end of the day both Rovers and Hull are taking chances on players who have done some good things at Championship level after taking the step down from their respective hemispheres top flights.
Unfortunately the rules of engagement seem to be that we criticise each others signings for the sake of it.

With you bringing in OHara and probably Withers, even if they replace Fisher and Vella you still bring your numbers up rather than down. I am not happy my club are looking to increase their number of overseas players but it will at least be a few less than Rovers. |

This is a signing that Rovers were forced into due to Ben Cockayne being an idiot. We need somebody pretty short term until Louis Sherrif is ready for week in week out first team rugby. I think that Rovers are going the right way with our recruitment with our homegrown list growing year on year but i agree that our overseas numbers need to decrease. I expect this to happen in the medium term. |

Ben leaving forced us into looking for a short term answer at full back. I cant think of any full backs in the Championship that jump out as been ready for Super League. |

Its seems strange that the HKA nickname was about and linked to Morgan yet as soon as he leaves they sign 3 more. |

I dont think it is the fact you have signed an overseas player - all teams have them - it is more the fact that you have bought him for his versatility when there are probably home grown players that could offer the same. With Moa - we wanted an impact forward, there was nobody British available. Now, if we had talked about a journeyman, plodding up the middle prop, then i wouldnt want us to sign them when there are plenty of those about |
