In my head I seem to have an impression that he has missed a bit. When we signed him last year he only played a couple of games before picking up an injury. He was missing for a game or 2 at the start of this season and I feel like he's missed the other odd game here and there and has been brought off the pitch a couple of times (maybe down to a knock,maybe just a fitness thing or simply wanting to try other combos).
I haven't looked up the stats on it all so I could be way off the mark (usually am).

I'd like to think if we have missed out on Thompson it's purely because Leeds have trumped our offer and offered him too much money to turn down. There can't be too many more reasons why he would chose a team in a relgation battle who haven't even announced a coach for next season yet (unless it has been confirmed but just not officially announced).

It only says leeds have offered him a deal, not that hes signed for them, lets wait and see eh, he could we,l be the one confirmed that hasnt been announced with leeds trying it on.

And Sao has been playing alot of reserve grade but seems to have broken into the warriors first team recently, he had 1 injury that kept him out awhile but came back strong and secured a spot it seems, his teammates have given him big raps, hes out suspended at the minute but expected to regain his place when back.

Id be suprised if leeds do sign thompson, thompson has alot of interaction with moley on twitter, and moleys been vocal about leeds treatment of seregayo in the past as well as furner, but money talks, waiting game now, i think hel be the other confirmed but unannounced along with ligi sao

Disappointing if we miss out on Thompson as he sounds just the player we have missed in the last couple of years. Wakey have released hubby so maybe clearing the decks to bring someone in and it was mentioned a couple of weeks ago that we might bring someone over from this year so putting those together maybe westerman to wakey now and ua bringing someone in? Unlikely though

I would not rule out Leeds offering him a 4 year deal, they just don`t seem to learn any lessons in handing out these big contracts but more fool them. They are now in panic mode - A lot of people are saying they are now building a decent side for next season but I am still not convinced.

Maybe if Leeds have lost out on Westerman , they’ve upped there offer for Thompson . So maybe desperate and offered stupid money !

We are desperate for his type of player to replace Ellis, worth a big offer, hopefully if we don't get him, We have other options lined up.

To be honest with the run of fixtures Leeds have coming up they could well be bottom soon too as they still look pretty abysmal and had Wakey not bombed half a dozen chances Leeds would be joint bottom. With Agar as the man in charge they are not certain of avoiding being bottom at the end of the season, if I were a Leeds fan I'd be worried, as Rovers with Smith will probably win more and Londons pitch is a bit of a leveller too.

Right move for Thompson, need to play regularly and not good enough to play for a play off chasing SL side.

Disappointed to see Westerman leave, he's been very good for us since his return (and his proclamation of his love for Hull FC) but if Wakefield have offered him more money and a longer contract you can't blame him. We didn't do too bad the last time he left.

There was talk about Kane Evans coming this season so perhaps this will now happen if Westerman is to leave imminently.

Still hopeful on Joel Thompson although that now seems unlikely.
