If we are losing Westy, Washy, Hadley, Mini and Manu that's 5 back rowers to replace with no youngsters in the wings.

Next year we have got Savelio, Jones and Lane. Add Joel Thompson and Sao and we are still short a few bodies.

I wonder if we'll see us move for some younger prospects to fill out the squad.

Worst defender is SL, people go on about Faramio and his defence, but Hall is much much worse.

Agreed. And with only 2 points difference, I'd be more confident of a Tony Smith coached team finishing ahead of a Rich Agar coached team. Even Huddersfield could get dragged back into the battle but for me it's between Leeds and London.

Also heard there is a chance that he could be coming earlier than next season.

There’s a chap on the Leeds forum, saying they have beat us for the signature of Joel Thompson.

I like Westerman and would be disappointed to see him leave (again) but this Sao looks like a good player so hopefully it's an upgrade for us and fingers crossed he doesn't pick up as many knocks as Westy.

Have I read about him wrong Hasbag, has he not played many minutes.

According to UK publication League Weekly, Leeds have offered Manly backrower Joel Thompson a multi-year deal.

Thompson, an NRL fan favourite for his community work, is off-contract at the end of the season and has previously expressed a desire to play overseas.

“I’m always open to anything. Rugby league has given me everything so whatever comes I’ll be happy with that,” Thompson said earlier this month.

“We’ve spoken as a family, we’d like the life experience of going over to a different country and getting paid for it would be pretty special.

The Sea Eagles are reportedly keen to keep him on, but a long-term deal with the Rhinos may see him jet off.

Blast it, never mind they need him more than us I suppose

Disappointed in this news but maybe the club have other plans and reading the mail seems they see Sao as his replacement and sound like they were happy and prepared for Westy to leave to get more room /value in the cap.
