I hope he does absolutely zero coaching.

I too have a concern about his appointment based on whats been discussed previously.

Guess the main positive is that financially as a club we are in a position to be making additions in staff rather than laying them off!

I don't exactly know what the position of "Head of Youth" entails but I got the impression from the interview that its more scouting than coaching.

I think its hard to judge this appointment because it isn't clear what his actual duties will be.
But, I don't feel that he would have been appointed if he wasn't an ex Hull player who still loves the club.
Also, no matter his duties, it doesn't look to me like he is the man to turn our youth development around which imo, is actually quite poor. The reason I say that is because we got to several u21 Grand Finals in a row, winning 2 out of 3. We get the players into the first team but they always seem under cooked and its been a while since our youngsters were tipped for international honours. The likes of Saints (Graham for eg), Leeds (Smith for eg), and Bradofrd (Burgess for eg) seem to be bringing through youngsters that turn out at international level at a fairly young age which we are hardly doing
