Thompsons defence is poor. Misses far too many tackles

The thought of keeping Thompson whilst losing either or both of Green and Hadley, is very depressing.

Two mistakes with Thompson were made, one signing him back and giving him a 2 year deal. Very average player, hopefully like before he will be fed up of not playing and ask for a release.

As a club when you have good quality squad players Like Green and Hadley you have to think carefully about who will replace them if you let them go. No squad is made up entirely of star players and these guys do a lot of the hard graft that allows some of the others to shine. I rate both of them and would like to see them stay. They will definitely be snapped up by other Super League clubs if we don't retain them. As for Thompson I just don't see him getting any game time for the first team next season at all.

Green has been playing well since he got fit. An aussie who would offer more would cost a fair chunk extra cap so recruitment needs to be spot on for me

Anybody have any stats for total amount of games missed by Hadley and Green last few seasons?

Release and out combined wage towards a better quality signing whos not always injured

Keep Green, let Hadley go

Time to move on a few injury prone players

Depends what the injuries are and if they are the same ones what they keep having. Most players get injuries... for me , I’d keep green , said it weeks ago . He’s our only forward we have now with size , and it’s size plus engine we need . Plus he finally looks like he playing his weight, use to think he was windy for his size .

Wiki reckons Hadley has played 12 more games.
In 2016 injuries were almost non-existent, so 16 games not so bad when he wasn't even 1st choice.
They're only numbers.

Fact istheyve been injured for a large part of their time with us, and its not as if theyve been here a couple of seasons, if releasing the, means we can afford joel thompson and Ligi Sao then im all for it, guys who play plenty of games with big engines and more imprtantly more quality

Release both, promote Lane, use Griffin in the second row if needed. Both Hadley and Green are too injury prone and don't give us VFM in the salary cap.

In an ideal, non-salary capped Super League, you'd keep both. But, alas...

Rumoured on the Leeds board that we have signed Watkins (according to a Wigan fan who is normally spot on with his news)

So, if this was to happen, would we pull out of the Joel Thompson deal and move Griffin to the back row? Carlos @ Left Centre, Watkins @ Right Centre, Connor to Stand Off and Kelly to 13?

Before his injury was superb but been a different matter since.

I'd be surprised, think Hull might mean Hull KR (has happened before), link back with McGuire and Smith.

I did post earlier in the week that Radford was a massive fan of Watkins so it wouldnt surprise me.
He is a class centre but needs to get his speed back in pre season

With the correct speed training anyone can increase their original pace.
I dont know who conducts speed training at the club but i have no doubt with a full pre season Watkins can regain his speed

Well apparently the desire to leave was sparked by Leeds not dangling big bucks in front of him. If he's just after a big payday, then no thanks.

They had a gentlemans agreement that Watkins would go onto marquee wages for this season, but after his injury Leeds have decided to go back on it, which hasnt gone down well at all, hence coming to the agreement Watkins can now leave

Are we confident the 2 confirmed are Thompson and Sao, possibly want to complete their seasons before any announcements, orrrrrrr Hull want to time the announcements for marketing
