It's amazing how things turn around!!! Played some good games earlier in the season and people were like wow, what has happened to Jordan Turner........

Not saying he is a world beater by any stretch but I think he is a decent all round, utility player to have in the squad.

The definition of average last season but that spell of games earlier in the season he was quality. Since then he has gone backwards rapidly. Now whether that's an attitude issue because he's leaving or possibly he just played above himself for a few weeks who knows. Nathan Brown has an excellent record of making average players look top class so if he doesn't play well at Saints he really has no excuses. Anyway we move on to bigger and better hopefully.

Whilst they're raiding us, I've got an idea. If Turner has impressed them with his defence, would they like Reece Lyne to provide backup for Wellens? He's brilliant under the high ball, Eamonn.

Look at Turners best game this year and see who there were against, that tells you all you need to know.

No loss at all, more than happy with our centres of Crooks, Arundel and Yeaman next year, the first two have much more potential than Turner IMO.

Stated him and Manu where going a long time ago, but in all honesty, think Turner has been very consisten this year compared to previous, not seen much of Arundel, but I hope Gentle can bring the best out in him.

Agree with that. I've thought before, I can't honestly think of a game in which I think he's been up against a decent centre and impressed. The closest he's come is the derby. Conversely, I can think of multiple times he's been up against fill in or younger players and still come off second best.

Love the report on hullfc.com which basically makes him out to be 5hit

He did play well for us for a few games this season but besides that he has been a complete waste of time and his form has gone down hill when the rumours about him signing for Saints started. He wont be missed, because i really do think we have alot better for next season.

Signs were promising earlier in the season that finally he was developing, the last 2 months have proved that was wrong.

Brown is one of the best around at improving players. Turner with ball in hand is excellent it's his defence that is the issue, sort that and he is a good centre.

We have replaced him with Arundel who is also unproven and is coming off a year out of the game with a shoulder injury.

I think both Saints and Hull are taking risks with Arundel and Turner: both unproven and young

I just think that with Turner we've seen several aspects of his game improve, but one fundamental flaw remain without getting the slightest bit better for the majority of games. This year we've also seen a few of our players improve, particularly in defence, but not him. This leads me to believe that it's less about him not being taught properly and more about him not listening. I suspect he's one of the 'doesn't want to be coached' element we have and thinks he's better than he actually is. I'm not saying he won't be improved by Brown, just that the odds would appear against it. He's a physically stronger Craig Hall.

Fully agree. You can probably count on one hand how many good games he has had for us over his stay. Stange how must of them happened around March/April this year when someone was looking for a new contract.

Give him a year at saints. Be amazed if they ain't got better coming through their ranks. He s extremely average.

Maybe very good then. He has plenty of pace, a decent step and loads of upper body strength. He was making far more yards than Yeaman was at the weekend.

I'll go with very good too. This is the issue, can he be coached? If so and Brown can sort him out they have a good centre if not they have a liability in defence. Either way I am not bothered to see him go but just hope Arundel is the right replacement.

Agreed, and I currently suspect he can't be coached. I think McManus' comment about his defence is laughable, though.

With Arundel, my biggest concern now is his shoulder. If he fully recovers I think he has the ability to be better than Turner, I'm just unsure now whether it's getting worrying that he's been out so long or simply that they're not rushing him back because he's leaving anyway and good for him to have the extra time.
