I think so but its that buying something and then not receiving it - gets you a bit panicky. I cant find my receipt but I remember filling in a form and giving my email address and it clearly says that I will receive confirmation of purchase. Now the problem here of course is I paid in the shop not on the internet. Where are all those forms is -some-one sorting them. As some-one said though its on my Bank Statement so dont expect any trouble collecting.

Personally I can't see what else the club could have done, the marketing has been good, the end of season form on the pitch was encouraging...the only thing that's been negative is the failure to secure Chase or Prince. I think the recession has hit harder this year, with many fans being unable to afford a pass, and this has been the barrier to breaking the 10K.

Have to say I’m disappointed by this news. I accept the club have tried to sign a couple of targets and for whatever reason they haven’t completed the deals, but to have a significant portion of the salary cap unspent when talking about challenging the top four just doesn’t add up to me. SomehowI I feel slightly short changed!

Pearson indicates you're up near the cap and that the moves for Chase and then Prince were predicated on freeing up space (presumably moving Seymour on). Of course, poorly spent isn't dramatically better than unspent, but I don't think you're being sold short from that POV.

We tried to spend at full cap, but the deals didn't come off. No point spending full cap for the sake of it, we want the right players.

A fair few deals have fallen through with buying & retaining for whatever reasons, I hope Pearson explores those reason thoroughly and lessons are learnt for the future. I am still optimistic about a top 4 tbh, I actually think Seymour has no option but to go out and prove a few people wrong, let us hope he succeeds.

Even as is I also think that we should have a fair crack at top 4. At least, I don't see 4 significantly better squads than ours. IMO, at this moment in time I'd say there are 6 clubs with stronger-looking squads than the rest of SL, and we are one of them. If we maintain the right attitude, improve our consistency, and the right players gel for us, I don't see why we couldn't be one of the better 4 teams out of those 6 (particularly when 2 of them have new coaches coming in. Catalan especially could be a lottery as to how Frayssinous gets them performing).

Lets be honest some of those other 6 mentioned havent exactly strengthened have they, look at Wigan, they replaced a world class double act with who??? you know what i mean... the wigan faithful are not exactly screaming their intention...

we have a great squad and for once quality depth, we will do very well this year and few will look forward to playing us for sure

Whilst he never ripped it up in his first year, McGuire never basically told the media that he was useless and would be replaced given half the chance.

Public criticism then a high profile chase for a 7 played out in the public eye.

He's still got another 3/4 years in him at the end of this contract then which probably bodes well for Hull.
Even if his future does lie away from the KC, which it probably does, he can still get himself in the shop window this season.
