Fridays all the way for me! I work alternate weekends which is a real pain for getting to Sunday games. Very happy with the decision.

Great decision for mine. Sundays are terrible because you cannot plan anything other than rugby. Fridays have atmosphere and it's no good bleating on about away fans. There were only fkin 50 from Salford on Sunday. Hardly worth opening a turnstile for and most of the clubs in SL would be severely hit in the pocket if us and Rovers travelled in that sort of number to every away game.

I might have a problem for a couple of games as I usually fly back into the UK on a Friday night, but I can probably change the time. Now I [idefinately[/i will be renewing my passes for me and my sons.

over the moon with the return to friday nights.makes my travel arrangements from edinburgh and back a lot easier,and i get to spend a bit more time with our young kid and my sister.

it's only the start of the season, not guaranteed all season long, will cost support, Friday is a poor day for a game if you've moved out of Hull or have a young family, a mix will always be the best option.

The move to Friday's is probably best for the club but isn't best for me.

What I do find annoying is that a survey was ran at the 9's event. Why? Surely a home match would have given a much better representation. The club wanted Friday's and so have moved the games back there, why not just say that.

I've particularly enjoyed sunning myself on those balmy Sunday afternoons. I'll miss the glorious weather.

ON Balance I guess this was pretty predictable and the right decision I was looking forward to Sundays because of the tradition and the fact that we would get loads more travelling supporters but alas the latter hasn't been the case in fact visiting support has gone backwards in my opinion and forwhatever reason so has the home following.

Its a pity that unlike football (who have a designated game day of Saturday unless a game is televised or there are extenuating circumstances) the RL allowed Clubs to have a free for all as to when they play in the first place because then whenever you change you disenfranchise some of the fan base. If its an accepted day like in football then I guess everyone accepts it and gets on with it, people arrange their lives around it which you can't do if its constantly changing. I have great symnpathy for those who travel long distances to watch the FC and understand their plight, Sundays for them was obviously ideal, but I guess also its just a sign of Pearson looking to get the maximum bang for his buck!

but why ask at a 9's event, the kind of event where nobody who travels a long distance is likely to be represented, why not ask at multiple home games.

It's a bit like standing in the shop, watching someone buy a medium away shirt and then asking them if they like the medium away shirt, you know the answer before you pose the question.

The club are never going to please everyone, it's simply not possible. What I don't understand is why people have trouble believing the club when they say that they have been led to believe there is a preference either way. People only ever seem to see this issue from their own perspective, and think that anyone who doesn't share that view is wrong.

there hasn't been a reasonable, balanced and unbiased survey, to do that you'd need to send a letter to ever season pass holder, but that wouldn't matter, because Friday is all about corporate, not the average fan, especially those who travel and/or have young families.

If AP wants bums on seats he's going to have t do better than Holdsworth and Friday nights at £25 a pop.

I think you're right about corporate. I sit in the West stand on the 10m line near the South Stand and so don't have a clear view of the West Stand middle. I suppose if the corporate involvement is low, the middle of the West Stand will be pretty empty becasue that's where the corporate seats are. Has it been paticularly empty this season?

everyone's circumstances are different, and I appreciate that, my scenario is:

Live in Nottinghamshire, work in the West Midlands (or further South dependant on contracts), indirectly manage a team of 20 people, so taking a very early dart every other Friday is out. I can finish at 4pm, if the M42/M1/M18 are kind I can be in Hull by 7pm, straight to the game, straight home afterwards, getting in at after 11pm (again, if the roads are kind), £50 in diesel (if not more) £25 for the game (so £50 if my other half comes), £100 for 2 hours "entertainment".

Sunday we can come up, go and see my family and friends, have breakfast, meet rugby friends for a drink, leisurely walk to the game, talk to people in the ground, at full time have a few more drinks, go to my old local and see old friends, leisurely drive home, back by 8pm, still got a few hours to relax before bed. Still costs me £100 to go to the game, but my £100 buys me a whole lot more.

If you picked one game from each of the possible days, maybe it would give a better indication. Again though, it still doesn't give a good enough sample, because the only time you're then asking people who can't make it on a Sunday is when the game is also on TV and people can just stay at home or go to the pub.

Another idea that sounds good at first, but when you think about it isn't much better. If you write to all of the season ticket holders, you're basically writing predominantly to those who find the current arrangements suitable and come anyway, so they're either going to say stick with what we have, or not even bother replying because it doesn't matter to them. Also, such a method would completely ignore the walk up fans, which defeats the objective. We need the people who don't already have season tickets to buy them or start going more often on the gate.

I consider myself a fairly average fan and I prefer Fridays. I suspect a few others on this thread who have stated they prefer Fridays are also fairly average fans. This is what I mean, why do some people have to make out like everyone prefers Sundays the same as they do and that the club are dumping on them instead of just accepting that other people have different situations to them? I can tell from where I sit that there are some people there this year who haven't been much in the last couple of years as they couldn't make Fridays, likewise there are a good bunch who have now disappeared but were there for said Bradford, Rovers and Leeds games.

Its not just based on that 9's survey is it they say that, they say they've had feedback from other sources too, In the end its their decision anyway, and no doubt a business one, they can consult FC Voices as long as they like but the group like everyone else is split on this because now its a matter of personal taste as with all fans it suits some and not others.

As I say game day should have been a Sunday as it always has been since the early 70's, then none of this would have occured. As has been said above too the Club have made a business decision because no doubt they feel they will get more people there on a Friday thus they make more money, thus they buy better players, most of the 'big' teams seem to play on a Friday these days for some reason anyway. Pearson is hardly likely to make a change if he thinks that they are going to get less there just to p*ss off those it doesnt suit is he. We can tell him till the cows come home who and how he should consult but in the end he is going to make the best business decision to take the Club forward.

The regime we now have in place we have to trust to be in it to make HUll FC successful again, well we do until they are proved otherwise, so far they have invested heavily and are making all the right noises, they have brought in the best Coach available, secured probably the best British Player playing in Australia and agreed terms and a fee for the current Man of Steel, that'll do for now (for me at Least) so I guess if they feel they need to change game day then we have to try and understand their reasons. At least we have some prior notice, last time it was switched to a Friday under Hetherington we read about it in the brochure. Just my opinion of course, I quite like Sundays!!
