sometimes you get some success withouth having a quality player in every position what we need is a good balanced squad warrington and wigan have a balance of a couple of quality players and some good squad players some very average players that i would not have at fc they just have a solid structure built there and all play for eachother something we was doing and now arent
elima,crookes,arundel,ellis,mcdonnell,pitts,a top stand off and overseas powerhouse prop and add the rest of the players we have i think that would be a good team
pearson has said theres more big names to come so i trust in that but i dont see were hes going to get these so called big names from theres not many about without spending alot of money on them

Thinking of Elima, he's a beter prop then Aspinwall and O'Carroll i'd say so for instance if we went with Lynch, NRL prop, Elima, Watts/O'carroll and Bowden that wouldn't be so bad.

With regards to Turner your spot on, he's gone from 'must keep' to 'must offload' in the space of a few games.

You can count on one hand the number of decent games he's had for us, most of them came at the beginning of this season.

Unfortunately for Saints I think they've got rid of Shenton only to make the same mistake with Turner, both have flattered to deceive, received big contracts and will ultimately disappoint at a top club.

The game on Sunday summed him up for me, no desire when the chips are down and thus becomes a liability when you need him to step up most.

Ellis is better than Manu and Arundel is as good as Turner. Those are the only confirmed departures/arrivals, as far as I'm aware. I think looking at an incomplete picture is counter-productive, anyway. Once the club issue a statement saying that the recruitment is completed for 2013, I'll start getting worried if it's necessary to do so. I think in the meantime, I think we have to allow McRae and Gentle to do their jobs and hope/believe that they'll sign the very best players available to them in the positions we need to improve.

Elima is by no means a bad player, I think it just depends how Gentle sees him fitting in. If indeed there's any truth in the rumour at all.

im my opiion, when AP took charge i thought we would be signing top draw players... he stated the siging of ellis was just the start. and ellis is a great siging dont get me wrong, but since then weve signed jay pitts, who couldnt get in leeds team, joe arundel who lets be fair hasnt really set the world alight this year, maybe through injury i dont know....
and we have lost manu,turner, possibly moa and maybe tickle if rumour about widnes is correct... these are all first choice players, ones of which will be hard to replace especially manu.... not exactly setting the world alight in player recruitment in my opinion...from the outset, we need quality to add to the quality we already have, but weve lost serious quality in manu and thats a fact... i dont think mcrae or gentle ever saw him leaving if im honest and im sure it was a massive blow to both when he stated his intetions same as turner....
to move on we need to be siging players that would get into wigans,sts,wire first team.... and currently we arnet, hence why we cant compete for trophys.... how waire are under the salary cap is beyond me, something in which the RL have to have a seriuos look at, there staring 13 is near-on full interantional standard, which is amazing if were all supposed to be singing of the same song sheet etc, if it is all above board then the money people at teams such as ourselves need to have a proper reality check and ask why they can get the players of the calibre of monoghan x2 , morley,atkins,hodgeson etc etc and we have infirior players...

You do know that Wigan are losing Carmont, Finch, Leuluai, Lima and who are they being linked with!? That's right - Matty Smith. The quanlity of player will decrease in SL next year.

I agree with this, lets wait and see what standard of signings we get and enjoy whats left of this season. PG has always stated it's a "work in progress" and Adam has said we will get this club back up to where it should be, I'm not gonna argue with either of them.

I can't believe we haven't finsihed our recruitment yet. I mean its June now we only have 8 more months till the start of next season. Not enough time IMO.
