Depends on what message you're spinning. Think the above £60k comments were made pre season, whilst people were getting passes.
Yesterday to get his Widnes excuses in early, Sandercock said this, though:
"When you have a young and inexperienced side, you tend to have a lot of inconsistency.
"It will be a big challenge for us.
"Unless you have a team full of internationals you do get inconsistency.
"We're pretty happy to have secured our play-off place because if you look at the teams above us in the table, [uwe spend the least amount of money on players, staff and resources, probably by a long way. To be able to compete with those clubs is really pleasing."[/u |

Actually he did manage a "tragedy" on the BBC report when referring to the thug's broken arm, but only when talking about the effect on the person concerned. Nearly an appropriate usage of the word which might have thrown a few people.
