I'm a believer of what you see on match day is a reflection of what is practised during the week, that being the case why have we moved from looking like we could score from every set with width at Bradford, to the narrow chanelled introverted games of the last two.
Plenty on here have said why change a winning team? the same applies to, why change a winning style of play? especially when you can build, expand and improve on that play.

No part of our performance was acceptable on Saturday other than maybe the first 15 mins. Moa needs to e dropped imo until he can play some proper gametime.

Its no disgrace to lose at Quins (we should all be used to it by now) and Cas are in great form at the minute so the results aren't a huge concern. The big concern is just how quickly our confidence seems to crumble and thats not just the players. I think the coaching staff need to be a bit braver and give the team licence to play some expansive rugby or at least have a plan to be a bit more inventive whilst keeping it tight.

Agar is still learning so lets hope he takes what he needs to from the game and can learn from it. Not sure which part of the first half he was happy with though.

That's the head coach of one of the game's biggest and most ambitious clubs that you are talking about. If Agar was still at York , then yes , you talk about a coach 'still learning' BUT he isn't and he should now know enough to get it right. We need to pay whatever it takes to get Wayne Bennett across - WE ARE A VERY VERY BIG CLUB

I must admit that although everyone deserves a chance I think we will only move to another level with a top class coach !!
I think his game plan/Interchanges at the weekend has left plenty of people questioning his experience/knowledge !


Anyway as someone has said we have only lost two games and are still up near the top so give the bloke a chance.

Agree, we just need someone at the top end of the curve, not part way through the steepest incline!

He needs to improve on a couple of things.

Improve our expansive game, we are a solid team that just does the basics but rely on tough defence forcing oppisitions mistakes, if this doesnt work, we wont score. We have scored one try from our own half this season, Which is very poor as we have some speed in our backs.

Make better use of subsm there is no point in having a player in the 17 to play 13 minutes of game.

Agar still has my 100% backing, especially in view of the start to the season. If you'd have offered me 5/7 before a ball was kicked i would of snapped a hand off.

My main worry following the Quins game was Agar stating he felt we were good in the first half !?!?! if that is acceptable as a good first half performance then i have a very different ambition for Hull FC then he does. Despite conceding silly points, i actually think we have an excellent defensive base and structure to our defence but isnt this Sharp's domain ??? with Agar concentrating more on the offensive aspect of our game - which is our problem.

The last 2 performances were about my expectation for us as a team before the season started - average, but because of the first 5 games, i remain very optamistic of a fruitful campaign.

Before he was appointed I said exactly the same thing. However, he is the coach now and I'm prepared to give him the chance to learn and improve and build the squad he wants. If things haven't improved by the end of his contract then I would be looking elsewhere.

Problem is both Agar and Sharp, as has been said so many times, are percentage coaches, we need someone with some flair to have an input.

Thorman went missing again on Saturday and Horne is back to tackling loads, which leaves his out on his feet when we need to attack, he can only do so much.

I dont think he did, he was playing to the coachs tatics and playing against a beaten pack.

We need to stop messing about with Berrigan and keep him on for the 80, Chad Randall managed it and look at the different he made.

I like Houghton but feel we are using him for the sake of it at the moment.

think people being a bit harsh on agar ,all managers make mistakes look at noble at wigan not doing great.He gets my backing , yes he has made mistakes but imsure he wil see this now if he doesnt then yeh i see reasons for having a go at him.

Richard agar cant win he was the best coach around when you were 5 games unbeaten now you've played a couple of half decent teams and looked shocking and got beat he's this and he's that. Jon sharp must be loving it because hes edging ever closer to being in the hotseat and doing with you what he did with shuddersfield

Think you'll find Sharp is just about running the show as things stand now.

Stands out a mile doesnt it watching them play and confirmed by watching the half time team talk on Sky saturday.
Poor old Agar wont get a look in pre-match on Good Friday when Sharp and Crooks start with their anti-Rovers motivational speeches.

im an hull fc fan not a richard agar fan,and hull fc are my club thats all that matters.

Unfortunately I have to admit now that the alarm bells are ringing loudly for this supporter and my fears have been realised all too quickly after two shocking displays by the club I love.I have a few points so if you hate reading long posts then move on quickly ...1, why have we  chosen a coach in Mr Agar to run one of the biggest clubs in the world !! its like fitting cheap seat covers in a Rolls Royce!! we go out and collect the sevices of Berrigan, Ticle, Manu, Crocker , Big L and so on to then hand them over to a man who is clearly and simply not good enough to run a club at this level and we as a club are soon going to be looking like the RL version of Newcastle United... we have a huge stadium, huge following, big names in the team but we keep paying for has beens and want to bes as coach!!Is it only me that thinks the biggest salary in the club should be the thought process and experiance behind itYES THE COACH !!!
