I hope your right, but as has been mentioned several times in this thread the discount deadline last year didn't end until 5th January. The passes also went on sale a month earlier than last time, so personally not reading much into comparisons.

Above said, AP seemed comfortable that we could hit the 10k target on Sportstalk last night but seemed to be basing this on the fact that kids pass discount runs until the end of December and he said something along the lines of "we should sell 3,000 kids passes between now and Xmas", so here's hoping Santa has a few reserved for delivery as Xmas pressies.

Their target is a bit soft though, 7,000. They already did 6,900 in 2009.

They'll smash 7k if they're at record levels. Not sure what we'll get, gut feel would say we'd be short going on current level of sales, but don't know about the phasing expectations. I know what you mean, but I do think the 10k campaign's been a good one, regardless of whether we achieve it or not, it's been well executed IMO.

But they'll be bragging about selling less than us. East Hull logic!!

We've almost always been the best supported club in the city - Rovers haven't topped our average since 1977-78 and even then the difference was small and we were about to be relegated.

I say good on Pearson for the 10k target. If we reach it, fantastic, if not and we sell 9,000 then that is still a great figure and is a good basis to increase attendances generally.

Probably to coincide that many people get paid on Wednesday (last day of month), which might get a few more in.

Pearson reckoned that the bulk of our unreserved kids passes are sold in the run up to Christmas, where last year we did over 2k. Given they don't go up until the end of December (I think) that is highly likely.

5,941 sold so likely we will hit 6,000 by close of play today. If the extra week sees us get to 7,000 I think we have a real chance of hitting the 10k.
