Apart from that series of back to back penalties near the end which ended in a yellow card, thought he was OK. Had no impact on the result IMO.

He was as crap as usual. The 5 penalties he gave us in the space of 10 tackles was a joke. Never a SL standard ref in a million years.

I forgot to state that he had no baring on the result and you were by far the better team but I think the score could have been more respectable.

The 20 metre restart where all wakey players onside he stopped and later allowed hull I'n same situation on 20 Tap to get on front foot and make half way line I'n 2 tackles.

Inconsistent and he's done us twice ala vs cas this year.

That said it's no excuse for the fact hull were deserving of their ein.

Never before has 1 man influenced a game so much as child and enrage support. The guy is inept and if the rfl do not act they will look inept also.

In all seriousness the blokes a joke of a ref who also cost us also against cas...maybe hes got a little soft spot for them,i dont know!

Humberside commentators said its based on where the ref is not the players, if the ref is not in position you have to wait regardless of where the wakey players are.

I may be wrong, but as I understand it the ref can't allow the quick tap if he (the ref) is not in the correct position. I wasn't at the game but maybe would suggest from the Radio Humberside commentary that this was the difference between the two incidents. Also based on the commentary, it would seem we did get more than our fair share of the 50/50 calls today. All just adds up to one inescapable conclusion - Childs is hopeless and everyone knows it apart from - it would seem - the RFL who continue to employ his services.

Apart from the first 10 minutes, when we couldn't get our hands on the ball, I thought we were far the better and fitter team. For me when Childs started handing out the majority of the penalties, it was the second half and the Wakey team ( forwards especially ) were out on their feet, struggling to get square and get back ten. Let's face it on a hot day like today, you can't afford to carry players and I think Wakefield carried three players today. Jeremy Smith was just pure lazy, the most he did today was get to first receiver and hand the ball on, actually the most he did was walk to the bench after getting sin binned

, Kingy for me looked slow and laboured and Jarrod Hickey, well if there has been a less fitter player than him play SL I've missed him, must be a good few stone overweight and must have managed 15 minutes on the pitch if that. For me our forwards were outstanding and totally dominated Wakefields, O'Meleys spell in the last quarter was just awesome, ran hard everytime and hit like a demon.

Worthy winners, mr child's didn't do us any favours, but congratulations to you guys.

Childs is fecking clueless although at times it did look like he was trying to dodge another mouthful from agar.

I couldn't believe he didn't play, he has done well in the 2 games he has played and IMO offers more as a fullback than Blaymire.

I think it would be interesting too see Child's penalties/game ratio compared to the other refs in SL.

I don't think anyone can deny Hull were by far the better team and fully deserved the points. Wakefield just did not turn up on the day (well for 70 minutes of it anyway).

The referees performance was atrocious but we come to expect that from him, though he had did not have an impact on the result.

Mr Child was predictably awful - we didn't deserve to win, but he helped make the scoreline more embarassing than it should have been; I was so angry, I sent my nan on to beast him.

in all honisty mate, he is god awful!!!! good of you to take the defeat on the chin as you have, but totally agree with you on how poor he is. alot of FC fans were puzzled by his decisions. along time since we had a ref in our favour.

cannot understand what has happened to childs.his first super league game as a ref,he did realy well,and several posters commented on this.it seemed as though we were at last going to get a good young ref ,but sadly he has gone the same way as the rest of them.is it something the rfl put in the refs water??
