Don't want to bag him just because he's signed for another team and Salford fans should be over the moon. But if your trying to build a cub culture then you've got some big questions over Hock.

He might look good on your view from the radio but he's a lot more than merely a little "dodgy" mentally. Plus as he has passed 30 his outstanding athletic abilities will decline and he sure isn't smart enough to compensate for that in other ways to keep his value. He is already starting to miss games. He is the kind of "character" that Hull should be avoiding. Good luck to Salford, we'll see if the couple of good games he'll give them next year are worth all the other baggage.

My way of thinking is that AP will not have been investing in the club as he has so far (especially academy wise) to put out a weaker side next year. I think AP has learnt a lot since he took over and would like to think he has some quality players waiting to be announced in the coming months. The rumours of players like Thompson may just be to add capable bodies to the squad at a small price to give us good cover and bit more depth.

It may well have been a case of last off season that AP, SM & PG were shopping mainly for 2014, who knows. Facts are available quality players these days are very thin on the ground.

The coming months will be interesting.

Hock, along with chase and (to a lesser extent) smith all flatter to deceive, when they’re on their game they are very good and if Salford get them all to fire at the same time then they’ll be devastating but they’ll have more off games then on and as has been said the culture the club is setting looks a bit dodgy. Too many over the hill signings among the rest and an expensive physio’s bench will be required.

This, throw in the fact Ellis will set a great example for the yound players who will certainly look up to him and try & emulate him. I doubt anybody looks up to Hock.

And when Hock and Chase are banned and the other Dads army are injured..who comes in..they have no acedamy or would u be happy for us to "buy" success and watch the club go tits up like we did in the Lloyd era.
