Why the needless, and quite frankly irrelevant dig?

£150k on a prop, is too much IMO. Especially for one like Paea, giving him the (rumoured) wage of an ex Test & SOO player is lunacy.

Exactly - O'Meley was an EX test and SOO player, who's body was shot and we still paid the money. Paea is younger and coming into his peak years, will suit out style of play - worth it IMO

O'Meley was fantastic in 2010 & 2011, don't let his antics this year sway your judgement.
If we're looking to give props £150k yet (rumoured to be) prepared to sign McDonnell at full back then something's amiss.

I wouldnt say he was fantastic, i think we could have got 2 props on his wage that did the job he did IMO

I'd say £150,000 for Paea is far too much for a player with his standing in the game. He's a good player don't get me wrong, but I can't say he's ever done anything outstanding in a game I've seen.

He does have good stats though, and for the right money I'd like to see him come here.

And the really annoying thing is he can still put in a very decent performance when his head is focussed on the game.

The game against Leeds proved that.
Still, he should never play for the club again.

Unfortunately recently that isnt often at all and he prefares his visits to Skeltons cake counter far more

O'Meley is going, so now we all hate him. Brilliant! I know he has been talking crap about current the clubs environment, but let's not kid ourselves that he has been a good player for us before this season.

I don't hate him. In the two seasons previous to this one he was possibly my favourite player at the time. Been very disappointing this year with injuries, etc, and the rumours about his attitude aren't good.

It's a real shame with O'Meley because if it wasn't for injuries and his alleged attitude, I'd say he was worth at least another year or two based on his performance against Leeds.

Exactly how I feel tbh. If McDonnell signs, great we have a specialist fullback. If not Horne will do for one season before we bring in another fullback to replace Horne.

Paea though would be a brilliant signing, rated him well before we were linked with him and would make the derby even more entertaining!

Id rather use Horne at FB than sign McDonnell whose looked ok but only ok. If we want to challange we need to be aiming higher than that

Having a proven specialist full back is better then not having one. He's been in decent form lately so would be fairly happy with it. Like I've said previous, Horney would still play a lot of games.
