The point was he stopped himself, it's probably just his role at RH that stops him. I think he does see the issues with Agar but he needs an interview from him every week. |

It's more than that. He's very vociferous in his defence of agar and looks for any other excuse for our issues. smailes still needs the same access to the club but doesn't line up behind agar like murdoch |

| Heard on RH this morning that Agar said that Long had been offered a coaching position at FC but had turned it down ( he's not daft is he?) Wonder when it was offered ie old or new regime with or without Agar's involvement. If it's recent and involving Agar that makes Agar's tenure very look pretty secure  |

So we would sack our coach and get someone who has as far as I can tell has never coached a rugby league side before? Why not just get Clive Woodward in?
If this was serious I would more likely see it lined up to work alongside Agar (rightly or wrongly)
Dont get me wrong sure he would make a good coach in time |

Clive Woodward was a RU player!....Shaun Edwards was one of the best RL players....Shaun Edwards has plenty of experience coaching RU even at International level, basically motivating men with his own ethics of being a winner! he has been described as one of the best coaches in the world by some, his knowledge of RL is second to none.
You think Agar could teach Shaun Edwards how to coach!!...PMSL |

Think a few people need to get over what Long did in the past and realise that people can mature and change over time.
Long has said himself that he sees a long learning curve in coaching - he was talking about several years as an assistant before even considering a head coaching role. He may be many things but he isn't stupid. |

Ellery Hanley was a great player. Didnt make him a great coach.
I think we need more than a motivitor of men. If we do get rid of Agar lets at least hope for someone with a proven track record in Rugby LEAGUE |
