If McDonnell goes back to Aus I think there's only a handful of clubs where he'd stand a decent chance of getting in at fullback. If that's his preferred position he may be better off staying in SL. There's a massive gulf between the quality available in the position in the 2 competitions IMO, even more so than the general NRL v SL difference.

Been told that Paea and McDonnell are both done deals for us. I trust where it has come from, but I suppose only time will tell.

Not too fussed on McDonnell, but would love to see Paea in a black and white shirt.

Especially one with no experience of the sport (at professional level anyway).

It would have to be one of the top couple in the world to justify that kind of money, the only RL players I'd want us to sign on 200k a season are Slater, Thurston, Inglis, Smith and maybe Benji.
