Time is running out for Scott Prince to confirm a move to Hull FC after the English Super League club issued a "final offer" while setting its sights on Wests Tigers halfback Jacob Miller.

Prince is at risk of missing out on a lucrative three-year UK deal with his future at the Gold Coast Titans still unresolved and Hull FC hinting that Miller may provide more long-term value.

While Prince was initially their "top target", Hull FC owner Adam Pearson said the race to fill their halfback vacancy would now come down to who snapped up the Super League contract first.

Prince met with Hull FC coach Peter Gentle on the weekend but the former Test halfback failed to commit to the long-term offer.

Advertisement Instead, Prince opted to wait and meet with John Cartwright when the Titans coach returned from an overseas off-season trip on Wednesday in order to discuss his future at the Gold Coast.

It is believed Prince is still deciding whether to see out his Titans contract or fly out to the UK and extend his career.

From AP's comments last night nothing more can be done, Miller deal now looking less likely from HDM but if the source is McDonnels father probably correct.

Prince stalling, and as AP confirmed negotiations had been ongoing for several weeks he has probably had time to decide whether the move would be right for him and his family. So to me he's looking at options in the NRL (St George?)

Dissapointing that we haven't sorted the 7 position as hoped but looks like we will have to run with Seymore and look again for 2014.

Pearson said last night that he had been negotiating with Prince for 3 weeks before it had become 'public'. Some people on here had mentioned Prince before the HDM got wind, but got accused of making it up.

Have to agree, although the thought of Golspie being our regular halfback is also equally as depressing, if we don't sign another halfback I don't think we will kick on as much as expected.

Yeah what we should have done was give him a 3 year deal, get some cardboard cut outs in the east stand of him, be unable to bring him over till our best player was crocked, de reg the best player bring the Aussie in, charge fans to see him train, play him a couple of games then let him go back for nothing, well not really nothhing, he'd cost us £200k.

To be honest, do we really think a 20 year old aussie prospect was gong to come to Hull?

Reading the Aussie press online it seems the relationship between Prince and the Titans has broken down and it would be difficult for him to stay.

However I wouldn't rule out him leaving the Titans and getting a 2 year deal at another NRL club.

I want him to sign, but only if he wants to come here.

It doesn't matter how good someone is, if he doesn't want to play for you he shouldn't be in the team.

If they didn't think he would come they wouldn't have offered him a contract.

Why not, The offer is on the table and he seemed keen but our No1 target is Prince and unfortunately it looks like we could miss out on both.

From what ive heard Prince wont be leaving oz so that leaves us back at square one as I cant see jacob miller moving across the pond either(that last one is just imo)

The money we would be offering for prince would be huge I should imagine so surely we could get almost any 7 in sl with that money ... Go in hard for brough or dobson would be my choice

We wouldn't need to pay a transfer fee for Prince but we would for Brough or Dobson. Brough is on a long term deal at Hudds and if Hudgell wouldn't sell us Taylor I can't see him selling us Dobson. Who says either of them would want to come anyway? As Prince seems to be demonstrating, its not just about money.
