Sorry guys but surely the game was lost with the lack of completed sets, Rovers completed twice as much and as such had twice as much possession !!!
They scored twice as much in the last 40 with said possession!!
It's a bitter pill to swallow but in this game there were many bad calls, dobbos sin bin, knock on under FCs posts given back to FC but it's now done!!
Seem to remember FC scoring from a blatent forward pass against Leeds only a few weeks ago!!

No doubt it was forward and a poor decision,but I keep asking the same question,what is the purpose of touch judges,match after match they run up and down the touchline and do nothing.It wasn't gansons call,he may have suspected it was forward and he looked at the touch judge for help and got nothing.Everybody is having a go at ganson,but the real culprit was the touch judge,he simply has not done his job.!

the thing that gets me is how unfit all of the officials are, they seem like they'd struggle to play bowls twice a week, let alone officiate a multi million pound sport. Russ Abbot had slimmer and fitter dancers than Ganson.

Ganaon may be public enemy no. 1 in Hull but for me the above is the true position.

On Field policy guidelines allow the doctor on the field when the game is in progress. If the doctor goes on when the game is in progress because of a situation, the game should be stopped, but the medics must try to attract the attention of the officials to stop the game. Bear in mind in this case that the stretcher and the full medical pack was also taken out onto the field; that should have been just cause to stop the game.

Thought that's what you meant. As you say, if the catcher is in front of the passer at the time he receives the ball, it was a forward pass.

I fully agree that Dobson's sin binning was the correct decision. My gripe about it though is that this happens all the time (professional fouls) and no one gets sent to the sin bin, yet on this occasion Dobson does. In short its the inconsistency of officiating which annoys me and why I feel aggrieved that Dobson was binned.

I take it by now that Steve "look at me" Ganson has officially apologised and the RFL have actually suspended that fat useless tw4t ?

I know hull fans have the reputation of being dim,but they have excelled over ganson.28 pages of abuse levelled at ganson. Ganson was behind the dead ball line and although he may suspect the pass was forward from that position he couldn't possibly know so he asked the touch judge who was bang in line and he said it was ok.So your gripe is with the touch judge,not ganson.He is not me favourite ref but why not ask yourselves,what is the point of touch judges.??

You are correct in saying that it was a touch judge decision not a Ganson decision in the forward pass incident so Ganson had to go along with it. Would have been interesting to have heard the conversation between the two officials aspecially after the Hull fans erupted.
Bad forward pass decisions are ,unfortunately, part of the game and even in the NRL where we have an extra on-field refereee we have had a worse case earlier this season but it was not match-defining so not controversial.

I have no answer to how we can get forward pass decisions consistently correct, so bad decisions will occur from time to time and this one goes into that category and we move on.Touch judges afterall are only human!
