I can't find anything more, now, that would have been around the start of August, assuming he flew back to Aus and was found guilty, then would he not have been remanded pending sentencing (I can't see him being allowed to fly to the UK whilst awaiting sentencing?)
so either the case is on going (and therefore should not be discussed on here) or the charges were dropped, or he was found innocent.

I am only mentioning what I was told, like I said I do not know the in's and out's, I am only responding to the rumour posted that we are in for him.

Its an interesting point - do suspended sentences count??? - but not relevant as he's already a player here and doesn't go through the same visa process to move clubs |

Suppose we will see what happens, the ex-player appeared confident though it will be interesting to see if we are in for him and we get him.
I think the suspended sentence is irrelevant he has still being found guilty of GBH (which in this country is a very serious violent offence)
The crazy thing is the offence happened before he came and played in this country 2008 yet he was only found guilty in 2011 when he was already here...and the offence is worse than Crockers, bit of a mockery of the whole process I think. |
