Simple solution to this. Owner of the bus co. goes round to the severely distressed parents/child's house and trips up on their path and sues them for negligence, injurys etc.

I really don't agree with all of this current claim-claim-claim mentality we seem to have adopted from the Americans.

Anyway, someone told me that the law is changing on personal injury claims which should reduce payouts and numbers of claims. Dunno if it's true; the guy is a lawyer so isn't that good with the truth

Indeed if my son came home and said he had fallen out of a bus window my first reaction would be what happened to make you fall out of it and if he told me this story the last place I would be going would be a solicitor.
I infact would be informing the bus company that I will pay for a replacement window and kicking my son round the house for a few days (so to speak).
