Would have to be Cooke surely? I thought Rule was a good marketeer - didn't he oversee that big P&O sponsorship deal (and we had some very good shirts in that era IIRC), plus I think we got Grade A franchises under his regime, so he wasn't completely incompetent or the devil incarnate at that point. Obviously was beholden to Kath and the devotion to Agar was staggering. I remember writing him an email once to complain about retaining Agar and saying in a salary cap era investing in the right coach was a key differentiator and he basically completely disagreed. Reardongate beggared belief, and I posted on here then I was ashamed. And then the drugs cover up did for him, so bye then.

Cooke's an interesting one. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back one day but he does strike me as someone likely to speak about himself in the third person.

Were not all loaded accountant types like yourself so yeah when the rugby was dire, the team a joke and the club generally taking the p155 out of the fans then yeah i did decide to hardly attend as its was costing over £1-150 to take me mrs and the kids with food and drinks to basically watch dross. I was still a fan just couldnt support what was going on similar to how city fans are boycotting games because of the Allams

Well in Rule's day it was £20 or so to get in on the gate so £40 for you and your good lady. How many children do you have for the bill to reach £150? Don't really get why you'd include the cost of food, surely you have to eat regardless of whether you go to a game?

Its the second time someone (earlier in the thread) has referenced the profession I ( as well as a few others on here) am in. I don't see the relevance of it. I am aware of many from all walks of working life who are ardent supporters of the club. I don't expect every follower of the club to attend every game as circumstances are different for all, but I find it difficult to take seriously criticism of the team, coach or the club from someone who actively says that they wont attend unless we are winning (and even then its touch and go).

That's never been the issue, which I would have thought you would be aware of, and its not the issue in this situation. Its others who have brought this up.

I never mentioned it wasn't expensive, but I did make the comparison to premier league football. RL is not as expensive as premier league football, yet they attract large attendances in certain areas of the country which are similar to Hull from the view point of employment.

I'm starting to think knockersbump and JTP are the same people, never a good word to say, belittling everyone else.
