Forget about Elliot Whitehead coming to Hull - he has signed a new five year deal at Bradford according to George Riley on twitter.

I think though that hodgson would have been a great back up for Houghton, and would have enabled us to use Heremaia's wage elsewhere.

It's still taken Hodgson 3 years to become a decent SL player IMO.

Some of his best rugby for Rovers has been at LF.

James Cunningham will be a better player IMO.

Not sure on that, think the hype on him seems to be undeserved. Newton seems the more complete player currently.

The only player for the 20's who is living up to their billing of 'next big thing' is Ben Crooks currently. Bowden, Lineham and Jamie Shaul the other standouts so far IMO all kind of came in under the radar.

Just out of interest how did the u20's get on at the weekend, haven't seen the scoreline anywhere.

Lineham, Lyne, Crooks, Briscoe, Nicklas, Pearce, Kent & Brown from the 1st team squad all played.

Lyne has played the last 2 games at centre.

Shaul's a very good player, always has been, size might be his downfall though to make it in SL.

Cunnigham alwaysn looked outstanding at a junior, think he could still play for the 18's.

Having seen Lineham a few times now he clearly has the physical attributes to make it. He's a big strong/quick lad for his age, probably bigger than Briscoe was at the same age, however he's still raw and needs to learn the game a bit more but the signs are very promising IMO

Lyne has been playing centre due to Shauls form, the guy is a try scoring machine reminds me of Coote at Penrith a under sized guy who is always in the right place at the right time with plenty of pace.

Errrr.....Burrows and Hoiha at Sts arent exactly giants are they and 1 of those was a world cup winning F/B.

As Smiggs says he is physically everything you want in a winger. If Briscoe or Sharp get injured I'd like to see him get a shot but as been proved time and time again the step up is massive

Have you thought he might well have been but perhaps with Bradford selling Odsal to the RFL they can now afford not to sell players and instead invest in their team and secure the services of players they feel are key to strengthening????
