Roby didn't have that much impact on the game other than the laying on IMO. You deserved the win totally, more so with the number of absentees you had.

Are you having a laugh? Roby put your team on a warning on the last play in the first half! Why bother then? He bottled it in the second. The first offence shouldve been a straight yellow for a professional foul, we had numbers out wide and Salford players knew it

Sadly I think the way Hull play allows Rangi chase to build his confidence... he wasn't so apparent in the first 20 - when it was (rather oddly) the Tommy Lee show... but as the game went on Rangi was allowed to do his stuff , grew more confident and then comes up with magic like this .... *sigh* .. will we ever learn?

Every time we play against them it's like we've paid purely to watch him skip across the line. Maybe he'd rolled in dog poo before the game so we didn't want to touch him.

In the cold light of day I think last night's game was a missed opportunity for us. A win would have given us a real boost and although Salford were never going to play as badly as they did in their previous games and Chase was at his unpredictable best the sad reality is that due to complacency or some other reason we badly under-performed. In football parlance we missed an open goal. We now have a very short turnaround for the Leeds game and come Friday morning we could find ourselves on 2 points out of 8, which is probably where must people would have expected us to be before the Giants game.

The one thing about a ref having a bad game is you can always blame him when you play badly, and a team playing poorly with quite a few reserves playing shows up your teams inadequacies, yet another false dawn perhaps.

I think you will find most of us weren't expecting miracles this season. Top 8 is still a target and achievable

Anybody who thought Salford were going to roll over last night needs a slap, worst result for us was saints hammering them. Chase was chase absolute unplayable, next week he could be pants. Salford still had a very strong team out last night and deserved the win. My only gripe last night was them two team warnings from Roby who clearly bottled a second yellow

Salford deserved the win, but it's 100% at attitude problem with us. Right from the start we didn't tackle or run like we meant it, it was like we were playing a training game. Once we went 10 down we started to play, but the damage was done. The wind was clearly a big factor and being in front at half time was important. We actually did really well to get ourselves in front but then seemed to switch off again.

You will see a different team next week. I actually think we will beat Leeds next week, but until we can start turning up with the right mindset week in week out we will never amount to more than a lower mid table team.

Fwiw the majority of your fans were expecting a top 6 finish according to an earlier thread on your board, however miracles or not you should have beaten a team short of 5 of their stellar signings for this season, if you accept that their defeat to Saints was the worst that could have happened then surely your coach should have addressed this along with a plan to nullify Chase, 2 other teams have already.

I'm sorry but it sounds a bit desperate when you are relying on the ref to give you a leg up by giving a yellow for a team warning, by definition a team warning means they have been penalised numerous times, surely that in itself means you should have taken advantage of this, and if not you should look at your players' and coaching staff as to why not.

what was more likely said was that if we play well and turn close defeats into wins we could in theory finish 6th, but that's completely different to what you allege

It would be interesting to know how you come to that conclusion, bearing in mind the other comments' in your post, especially against the top scorers, however if your prediction is right you'll make a lot of our fans' happy myself included

Because we always raise our game for the so called big teams, and I think we will get a good response, plus I wasn't massively impressed by Leeds the other night.

As poor as Salford? We had Locke, Dobson, Jones-Bishop, Patterson, Hock left, and two players went off injured and we still beat you, we finished higher than you last year, beat you twice last year so what makes you think you should be beating us? I think you overestimate your teams quality.

He is a Wakefield fan. No doubt the 2 from 2 they have won this season has gone to their heads. Problem with some wakey fans they have chips on their shoulders the size of mcains factory

How many minutes did green play? Just looked at the stats and he made 6 carries all game. paea, watts and thompson made 17 each. green isn't anywhere near good enough but still needs to significantly up his game.

Our prop interchanges are going to be the difference between being in and out of the 8 this season IMO. I said all along we were too light in the front row and god help us if watts and/or paea get injured
