| Shame for Sao, hopefully not out long, but really stepped up this year, always liked him, but at another level this year. Think our props really work as they all have a different skill set.
I'm sure I heard a couple of games ago he had played something like 38 consecutive games .

Thirty five, I think. Last game he missed was the 14-14 draw against Warrington last April. The one played at the KCOM with no fans present.
He's played 55 from 60 since he made his debut.

I thought I was at that game, didn’t Mamo break through Josh Griffins tackle to grab the wire a draw, or am I dreaming it.

It must have been televised, thinking about it Huddersfield was the first fixture back after the behind closed doors caper.

| Quote ="Chris71"Agreed the restart kick by Connor was almost Sneyd like and smart thinking. I’d just like to see us put the opposition under more sustained pressure on the last when in the oppositions 10/20 by putting short kicks into the touch/goal area to force a drop out etc. We rarely seem to do that and more often kick to the corner or try and run it ending up with a handover. I’d hoped that Gales arrival we would see this improve.'"
Gale has been brilliant at short kicks into the in goal for a repeat set at his other clubs.
I have mentioned this before that we are not doing it enough but are satisfied to turn the ball over in the opposition 10.
Then as usual when we start to put pressure on them we give away a penalty on the second or third tackle to relieve all the pressure. Its crazy.
Gale now seems to always kick to the corner and i wonder if that is the preferred tactic.
Just hope now we see Gale with a good run of games behind him as he needs to up his kicking from hand.
Jury still out for me on Reynolds

The short in goal kicking game is a superb attacking weapon, even under Sneyd we went away from this tactic, hopefully Jake and Gale can improve this area, especially with Joey lurking about, hopefully taking over from the evergreen Danny Houghton.

| It's a problem that needs resolving by Ellis and the players, the constant giving away of penalty when we have the opponents Pinned in. Really need to smarten up with it as we'd make it alot more difficult for opponents

Yes it was the last play Mamo try which cost us the win. It was on the Our League app and website. Lots of missed drop goal attempts in extra time.

I remember that incident so vividly, it came as a shock how he went straight through Griff, and levelled the game, I knew I’d seen it, just not where I thought I’d seen it

| Still can't believe on 11.500 yesterday. Certainly looked a 1.000 more. Gale didn't do to bad you know. Ok he's not going to score 50 yd trys but the one thing that stood out for me was his leadership. He never stopped talking. A mention to Evans to he's getting better every game.

I find It’s actually quite difficult to guess the attendance, I’ve often thought there’s not many here, then they say 10,000. Evans is improving, but do you think we will see Tag back to, or nearly as good as he ever was.

Regarding the attendance when looking round the stadium it certainly seemed as though there was a very good number in the stands particularly in the West, plus the atmosphere sounded and felt the best it's been for a long while so to hear only 11500 as the attendance seemed low considering.
As for Taylor its still very early days as he's been out for so long and he's playing catch up so will take him time to get back in to match fit condition. Like any player age starts to take its toll so he won't be the same player of 5 years ago but if he can stay injury free I think he still be a big plus for us in the forwards.
Thought Evans certainly put a shift in against Wigan and was pretty good defensively and is improving as he gets more game time.

Tag just got to keep playing & playing Chris, he’s certainly seems to have that old desire, and I’m really hoping we get the very best version we can of Taylor, we have the makings of a good team, and although I have had my doubts regarding Brett, you can see small positives emerging with his coaching, the tremendous break out of Connor Wynne, and just a bit behind him Cam Scott, the investment in youth, and the investment in youth coaching has been a superb statement of intent from our owner, especially after such a lousy period of stifled income, and such difficulties regarding the pandemic.
We seem to be in a good place at present, and when you remember the prognosis from the last two seasons, it’s nothing short of miraculous.

| Looking at our pack on Saturday there won't be many that will roll us. It's a big pack yet the back 3 which started is pretty mobile. Hoping Gale and Reynolds get some game time behind them. Barring injuries dare I say we are the dark horses for the Grand Final?

Agree on the pack, as for dark horses that will ultimately come down to whether or not Gale & Reynolds stay on the field week on week as pairing to get an understanding and find form I think, if they can then we would certainly have a good shot.
Just hope that Ligi isn't a serious injury as he will be a big miss for the work rate and minutes he plays. The guy seems to miss out on the plaudits but he is just such a solid and reliable player in the middle and has cut down on the number of penalties he gave away when he first arrived. Got to admit I liked him at 13 and believe that was the role he was signed for if not mistaken but injuries meant he ended up in front row. Think with 4 of Satae, Evans, Brown, Fash or Taylor fit & in the 17 the option of Ligi at 13 would be a great option for us.
