What is your opinion of our coaches decision to play him tonight?

Seymour is useless. Get rid of him ASAP

To be fair, people used to defend Agar by saying that.
And to be fair, we looked as cluelss tonight as any time under Agar.

I think when the Heremaia thing failed last week he almost had to give him another chance (though I probably wouldn't have). If he plays him again - ever - he needs his head testing. Literally any other option would be better.

I predicted we'd have this chopping and changing after Seymour was dropped after the Leeds loss.
I was right!

He should have been dropped in the off season. And after the Leeds game. He's had another chance, but this must surely be his last.

Seymour got dropped after Leeds game and we went with Holdsworth and Horne for Bradford and Saints. Holdsworth got injured for the Wire game so Heremaia was tried with Horne but it didn't work so Seymour was given a chance.

I doubt he'll be given another, I've never been a hater of him but he just looks poor and time has ran out. Holdsworth and Horne looks to be the partnership, we just need to find a viable option if/when one is injured.

That's the problem throughout the squad (except for back row) - we have no depth.

He should never put the shirt on again. Awful.

I agree but to be fair I think a lot of clubs struggle when they lose one of their starting half backs

I've lost count of the times I've defended him. But tonight was worse than Thorman at Wakey. He's pretty much a spare part now.

Don't think the bloke should have been put in that position tonight (no pun intended). It's been obvious for some time that he isn't up to the job, his confidence is shot and almost felt sorry for him tonight. Yes he's getting a good salary and to have him sitting on the sidelines seems a waste but having him on the field is not helping us win games. Putting aside the silly comment made by Nicklas on twitter I think the time has come to give him a run out in the first team. Gentle has no other option now, Nicklas is a fist team player and should be used as such, not plying his trade week in and week out playing for York.

Gentle said in his press conference that he really wants to play with two hookers. He didn't play Seymour last week because he didn't think he was ready - this week he thought he was. His face after he said that last bit clearly indicated that wouldn't be a mistake he'd make again.

He thought he was that ready to play this week he didn't pick him in the original 19?!!!

People keep going on about his 'confidence' but he's played well over a hundred NRL games. He's not some young kid.

I suppose when Holdsworth failed a late test that was when he had to bring him in. Otherwise we didn't need 3 halves in the 19.

It was all seymours fault,everybody else played great.Why dont you open your eyes starting with gentle and mcrae,who appears to have disappeared,is he having liprosuction.??

Why would he pick him in the 19 when he thought Holdsworth was playing?

I think it highlights just how bad the recruitment under the last regime really was .

Neither was Thorman while he was here but when fans jump on every single mistake you make I imagine you begin to begin to try to hard & become nervous while playing which really isn't a good thing.

Gentle obviously thought Seymour/Holdsworth was the way to go after pre-season.
He drops Seymour after the first game of the season and was that desperate not to bring him back last week that he thinks he can get away with playing Azza there and hopefully get away with it.
It doesn't work, we all know it doesn't work.
He brings Seymour back tonight when every man and his dog knows that his confidence is shot to pieces.
His performance adequately illustrates it.

People didn't just 'jump on every mistake'. He played poorly for a fairly sustained spell and people lost patience. In both instances.

Not straight away they didn't & I understand people only have so much patience with players playing badly but it does sometimes border on ridiculous on here. I do agree he played bad both games he's played this season but he certainly hasn't been the only one.

I also don't think the change in youth teams will have helped either as he won't have had any gametime at all now for a month which won't help with keeping 'match fit'

We won't be able to send him to York either will we due to visas?
