As far as I'm aware, much of his early career (99-03ish) involved coming off the bench, often in the halves.

Not where he made his career though. Think us putting berro in the halves is a daft decision.

Berrigan was the Queensland 7 for 2 series after Langer retired so i think its safe to say he 'made it'.

I'm not advocating it (although it is something that might be worth a go), just pointing out that it was years before Berrigan settled into a full-time role at centre, and that then only lasted 3-4 years.

Berrigan will excel in the halves, centres or hooker as he is a world class player.

Centre/Halves would be an option if Lee carries on playing well and if Houghton improves too. The only problem with him at centre is he could gets starved of possession so he may get wasted out there but it is an option.

For Brisbane he excelled in all three positions so he is certainly proven.
