| People called for Westerman to step up and he is doing, don't think he can do much more really leading from the front.
Rankin had a very quiet game yesterday but I am not sure I would swap anybody just yet, we were just undone by some awful reffing

A few things I notice there:
Radio Humberside commentary mentioned Westerman conceding penalties in the last 15 minutes 2 or 3 times, but those stats only have him conceding 1. Shows how well they follow/understand what's happening.
Paea with big metres again, looking like the cracking signing we hoped/suspected he would be.
Only 6 carries from Paleaaesina, how long was he on for?

On the stats alone it looks like Radford got his substitutions wrong.

| Very impressed with the performance yesterday despite the result. I personally thought Child had a bit of a shocker yesterday. The blood bin situation with Horne sums it up. How could he stop the game for a Warrington player to be treated yet let play continue and make us play with 12 men? Absolute disgrace in my opinion.
That said we really do need to address the penalty situation. Yeah, some of them might be 50/50 calls but we're still doing too much and given the refs the excuses they need to blow the whistle. I believe all their tries came on the back of penalties? Our defence was brilliant but we're unnecessarily putting ourselves under pressure.
Our attack looks pretty good and if we can learn to be a bit more clinical and improve that game management Radder's talked about then I think a lot of teams will struggle to cope with us.
All in all the signs are looking good.

| Certainly doing better than expected.
The signings seem to be better than it looked when they signed and young players like Bowden stepping up.
I think if we can improve a couple of areas we have a real chance of finishing in the top 4.

Unfortunately, yes they all are. But I think Childs is one of the worst. Good to hear the opposition saying they weren't happy with him either. Sometimes I think we can be a bit biased...

According to the SL website the stats say Hull 10, Wolves 7 which is pretty tight. I'd be interested to see what areas of the pitch he gave the penalties in for both sides.

Most of the penalties awarded to Warrington seemed to be given 30 metre's from Hulls line and last tackle which tells you something.

Spot on. We've been our own worst enemies for 2 years in this department.
The ref may be inept, but that doesn't excuse our own brain-fks like flops, lazy tackles and the like.

No doubt about it. I certainly wont blame the ref all the time even thou Child was gash. If we can cut the needless penalties out and have a bit more ball retention then i think we could become a very good team.

Probably the most frustrating thing for coaches, its criminal to give a penalty away on the last tackle.

Both kicks for Warrington tries were very tight for off-side, particularly the second one, but I'm biased.

| My issues with Child's refereeing wasn't the penalties that he did give but the amount of things that he missed and the effects that they had on the game.
One big example is the build up to Shaul's sinbinning. Shaul's actions were worthy of being binned, yes, but the only reason Ratchford was able to make that break was due to Ben Crooks being obstructed by a Warrington player pushing into him and so he couldn't get to Ratchford and the gap was created.
It should've been a penalty to Hull 10 metres away from Warrington's line but both the referee and the assistants missed this and it ended up with Hull being a man less for 10 minutes. That's a game-changing swing.
Also wasn't pleased with the double standard when Horne was sent from the field to receive treatment, putting us a man down when desperately defending our own line, whereas the game was stopped for a Warrington player (Waterhouse?) to receive the same treatment.
I think that Warrington were the better side overall but just fed up of coming away from the games with the referee being one of the main talking points.

| In short Wire were rubbish, Hull were rubbish and the ref was rubbish, we were a last minute in the half penalty better than you. We couldn't unlock a gate with instructions on it and you loved giving us as many penalties as you could.

| Surprised the media haven't been going crazy about the fact Houghton made 66 tackles missing none. Just like they did when Peacock made 60.
