Flights to Perpignan don't happen until late May, I don't think. Struggling to find flights to nearby which are cheap.

If anyone knows different, please tell

£134.43 ryanair from doncaster-gerona-doncaster
includes £30 baggage upto 15kgs, tax, online booking, priority bording and credit card handling fees, makes a hell of a difference when only advertised at £14.99

7 nights in lloret £360 in 3star self catering, 4 of us going so works out at £90 each give or take a few pennies,(booked through thomas cook)

add on another £113.95 for cst transfers from hotel in lloret to perpignan and back

£250for weeks hols aint that bad, only got to buy match ticket on top of all that

As i posted elsewhere too, the £134 went up to £170 yesterday which is what i paid. Other nearby airports are still over £100 each and by the time i'd got trains etc i thought £170 just needed booking.

There is the frogbus between gerona and perpignan and gerona flights will come down after christmas as they usually do, depends how long anyone wants to wait.

Direct flights to Perps via Ryan Air from Stansted

We've gone for Easy Jet - Liverpool to Barcelona + Hire Car 7am flight out on the Friday we'll be in Perpignan by 1pm ish on the lash Fri / Sat, then back to Spain for 3 nights in Lloret. Easy Jet offered 3 flights per day so we took earliest out and latest back in effect gives us an extra half day. Prefer not to use Ryan Air with all their extras, you get 5 kilo additional baggage allowance with Easy Jet for half the .

Flights with all bags + charges worked out £101.13 each

What was hire car? £40ish per day?

Not booked car yet but you can get an economy 4 door (Seat Ibiza / VW Polo TDI) with aircon for £152 via Europcar so thats just £30 per day. Haven't checked any others yet so possibly can get cheaper still.

I looked at Easy Jet Liverpool to Barcelona, could get it for about £75 each return inc credit card and priority board. If using Easy jet book car with europcar if flying with ryan air use hertz these are linked direct from their web pages. Get very good discounts I had an Alfa Romeo JTD 2.0 for 2 weeks in Summer for £220 from Europcar. Great for the run up to Perpignan. You do need to show the flight recipt or boarding card or they could charge you full price. Also beware of Spanish car hire companies who seem cheaper but want up to 8€ a day extra because you will take the car across to France.
A good website for Spanish Car hire is Amigo Autos, just google it and I am sure it'll come up.

We flew East Midlands to Barcelona in August, only paid £260 for all 4 of us. We held off hiring the car until quite late on due to a problem we had and I would suggest hiring asap as we watched the prices rise the closer we got to the holiday.

In case anyone is interested just booked flights to Catalan game with Ryanair. The more the merrier and all that..

Leeds to Monpellier Fri 14th, back Mon 17th into Leeds for £70 each.

We just go on with hand luggage (so you don't have to pay the additional fees) as you get 10 kilo which is quite alot if just going for the weekend.

We are going to use Catalan Sports Tours for transfers £30 return 10% off if you book them before Xmas.

We will stay Fri & Sat in Perpignan and Sun in Montpellier any good hotel recommendations welcome.

Hope they don't decide to play it in French Guiana to spread the word now i,ve got them booked.

New Hotel du Midi is great but looks like prices have gone up a fair bit for next year. Royal is OK and they have a deal at the mo. Both are in a great location right in the centre near the Place de Comedie.

Will Rovers be there at the same time???
