Poor signing in my opinion but I hope he makes a full recovery and is giving an opportunity elsewhere to extend his career.

Feel for the guy, and will miss that happy face on the east stand side. I think he's done well for us, and his send off try on Saturday was a classic centre's try. Done great too in influencing our other younger centres. I wish him well.

Feel sorry for him as it is most likely the end of his top level career. I have a lot of respect for him for playing with a neck injury under painkilling injections the other week when we had massive injuries...he could have quite easily just sat in the stand and collected his wages.

Played Ok, but I honestly still think he was a pointless signing and we have coped without him or signed a better centre (from SL or NRL).

Horrible way to end your last game for a club, he was never going to set the world alight but did what was asked of him and never gave less than 100%.

Hope he gets another club, could probably still do a job for a lower ranking super league club providing he stays injury free.

Possibly, but players like that can act as a quick fix if your youths are not quite up to it yet and you need a stop gap for a season.

Presumably why he was brought in, the coaching staff thought it would be a step to far for Crooks this season. Turns out Crooks can hold is own!

I was very surprised when Crooks was dropped for him on Saturday.

It was not a very nice way to end his FC tenure and it could well end his career. He always put in solid performances and could well have been kept on next term as you always need quality centres to help develope the younger ones. He showed hsi quality on anumber of occassions and for a player who as far as I remember correctly came from the outgoing Crusaders team cost FC virtually nothing. His wages where in part of nearly fully paid by the RFL and where outside the cap.

Never the less he played with some passsion for the cause and in recent years we have had more then our share of people collecting wages for nothing.

I thank him for his efforts and commitment to FC

He's given 100% commitment when he has played, it's a sad day that any player has to retire through injury.

He will always be respected for playing with a pretty serious neck injury for us when others wouldn't, that alone means the club should help him through his rehab until at the very least the end of his contract.

Yeap played really well in some games. Had a steadying influence over the backline in conjunction with Gentle's appointment and helped improve a lot of our young backline which has been his biggest legacy.
