As has been said before given the current scarcity of players on the market let alone with availability just as the season has started I would say Knight is probably as good a pick up as any team could get right now. A big plus for us will be that Knight has history under JC so he will know what he is getting with the player.
Right now beggars can't be choosers and the loss of Ligi has to be dealt with as a matter of urgency given that he's sadly out for the season and we can offer Knight a deal until the end of the year. With the other injuries its not so easy with the time scales so more a juggling act.
Currently
- Sao out for the season
- Cartwright reported as being a couple of weeks
- Holmes having a clear out so no news as yet of time scale
- Hardaker reported as 6 weeks
- Asiata - presently unknown
- Bourouh possibly back in contention
- Ashworth possibly back in contention
Fair play to the club for moving quickly and a deal to the end of the season is the right approach.
He's had a bit of a chequered past but if he's prepared to knuckle down and work hard could be a decent signing. Adds size and experience to the side.
