What makes you think we could afford him, we certainly can’t compete with Saints.

What makes you think he wanted to join us. If he’s as good as you reckon he almost certainly knew he could do better than us, which low and behold he has.

Im not being nasty and I’m sorry but I really don’t think some fans truly grasp just how difficult it is for us to sign quality players, we can’t just click our fingers.

Yes that’s the thing isn’t it. We will be in talks all the time I reckon with players, but when teams like saints come in it’ll be a no brainer 90%. Remember MC saying that he thought we’d signed Jake Connor from Huddersfield, turns out we were being used by his agent to bump up his wage to Hull who he obviously went to. Can imagine it’s not easy to sign players.

I’d assume since Saints knew Bentley was going to Leeds they will have been monitoring Bell.

Saints certainly didn’t get rid of him, Leeds however have paid big for him and Saints couldn’t compete.

Back on Bell he would also take up a quota spot which are becoming very important to use correctly and not sure we need to use another in that position,

Well i would have thought if the club was looking at a replacement for westerman firstly they would look around at contracts and availability of certain players before the season starts then i would hope the club would look at finances and i would assume his salary was less than westermans and then if we had already managed to get a signing from leigh we may have possibly asked about his availability too and if orher clubs were sniffing round him

True, so what makes you think they didn't do just that? The fact that we haven't signed him doesn't mean we didn't look or try. It's the assumption that baffles me.

I mean the club is hardly going to tell the world they are after a player who will be of interest to numerous clubs, nor are they going to advertise the fact that they have failed had they tried.

I still think with regards to the 13 shirt we should let Crowther, Walker and Arona fight it out and strengthen elsewhere. We can’t replace Westerman with a comparable replacement, time to go in a different direction. Arona never let us down before at 13, it’s Crowther’s best position and isn’t Walker a 13 by trade?

I think Walker started as an HB but has played a fair bit at LF. I'd be happy with either Walker or Crowther at LF, Arona is probably too slow now but still useful if needed.

Possible Bell may be off quota this time but some would say Liam Hood been our best who has he signed for ?
