Just picked up this radio chatter from jet pilot to control tower..

Control, "Confirm, commencing bombing run of Belle Vue"

Pilot, "Confirm, bombing run, locked onto target"

Control, "Roger that, cleared to fire and destroy,, make a mess of it"

Pilot " Abort, abort....Someone has beaten me to it"

Yeah, only saw one though but, you're right, it was certainly loud.

Yes we heard the jet/s. Extremely loud never heard anything that loud since Concorde used to fly to Leeds/Bradford.

Used to deliver Diesel to the truck stop at Leeming Bar, the tank was at the back in a field at RAF Leeming, when them Tornadoes fired up ready for the off if you were on top of the vehicle at the time you could feel it vibrating and the noise was horrendous.

Yeah they were flying round right above my house around the Newton bar area was watching out of my bedroom window was so loud
