Have to say Aronas try was the slowest 40 meter run I’ve ever seen. Bless him he had a great game but if he ever had any pace he hasn’t now. Definitely an around the ruck player these days, think I’d have outpaced him



Have to say Arona is a real heart of the team player.

Played at prop with only a hia assessment for a break.
Was in that position because he'd been tackling.
He had a right to be slow.

But no matter how slow he looked, no one caught him.

PT I know that it just seemed to take an age for him to get there, may have been nerves on my part just seemed to be in slow motion.

Let’s put it this way Lino started 20 meters behind him and virtually over ran him in the end,

Arona deserved that try no doubt.

Another odd one was the KR kick off that went out on the full and halfway up the North Stand. Don’t recall ever seeing one go so far out beyond the dead ball line.

There was a fair wind blowing up the pitch. Surprised there were no 40-20's.

Yeah my lad said that, had it been cricket it would have been a six that went out of the ground, very odd.

A brilliant moment on a very enjoyable afternoon. Just being there was a joy but the win was the icing on the cake.

And the post try celebrations bt the team were as uplifting as the score itself.

Dont care how long it took him all that matters is he got there..really happy for tini he does alot of the graft nice for him to do something like that...strange thing my lad did it in u16s game today henot shy of a try or 2 but not jnown for his speed but went from his own half un oppossed so 2 in one day for me happy days

Yes I liked the fact he didn't look for anyone else.
He wanted that try....... But it was indeed a long run.

It was a game breaker in a lot of ways so Rovers were certainly trying to catch him. He wouldn't have made it if it had been 2 inches further.

If the try line had been 2 meters further away I don't think Tinny would have quite made it.

Nobody cares how long it took him but it stil took him a long time, that’s the point



It was his obviously weary legs and slightly groggy state that made it such a wonderful effort.

Just seen match highlights, Tinny looked like he was running with wellingtons filled with water, a great effort.

He was still quicker than ryan hall is these days

At first I just thought he had bulked up a lot but I have to say Hall just looked fat to me when I saw him close up. Shame but he’s a stone over weight at least and has lost all his agility.

He’s still a threat five yards out but not much else.

Cas fans had a go at him last week, prompting him to to put shirtless photos on social media, no fat on him - just over developed, compensating power for lost pace?

He was pretty much stood opposite me about 10 yards away from me for most of the second half.

He looks to have absolutely packed on the muscle on his upper body in particular.

I was quite shocked to see his shape, more in line with a body builder rather than a rugby player.

No mate you must have been near me but I know fat when I see it, that used to be my excuse!

Sorry it was fat mainly and way more than any winger should have. His legs were so fat I bet he gets chub rub when he runs.

I actually like Hall as a player and a person but I reckon he put pounds on in rehab that he just can’t lose which is a shame.

Listened to Radio Leeds game highlights. They said HKR player looked at Arona before he passed.

Just been on his Instagram from after the game last week, responding to some of the Cas fans calling him fat.

Put it this way, I wish I was as fat as him!

The weight he is carrying is clearly in my opinion tactical and probably there to mask an issue he has elsewhere ie loss of pace etc.

I know the conditioning coach at KR and he is very very good as his job so I would guess that it is a conscious decision to bulk him.

To be fair at his age it’s not unusual for outside backs to go through this process. Jerry McGillvray at Hudds is the same. With a loss of pace they add the pounds to use them as an extra prop carrying the ball off the line.
