Already I read people slating the team and certain players. I honestly don't know what some expect. St. Helens are superb and we are a patched up side at probably 60%best available, players playing who wouldn't if we weren't so depleted. They got stuck in. Maybe a few bad plays. A few bad bounces of the ball. Kirmo injured early doors. Jack croft looks highly promising. Half the salary cap on the sidelines as Chris just said. Come on, for Christ sakes, give em a break!! Can't agree. Didn't see anyone not giving 100%. Saw brough clearly not back with the pace, unsurprisingly. He was brave and big enough to play in spite of his hand only out of immobilisation 2 days ago. Depleted side. Players returning from or carrying injuries. Best side in league. End of.

rubbish, st.helens were poor today but still rattled up 48 ,chezzys should have not played broughy ,renolds would have been better ,Miller for me bugger off home

That performance smacked of, players playing too early after injury, youngsters not ready for SL, best players sidelined. Skill levels not good enough for the type of rugby we tried to play. I’m afraid it ended exactly the way I expected. Full fit squad we might have given them a game.

What did you guys really expect? we've got key players missing and even though we like to think we have strength in depth, our 'depth' is nowhere near good enough to beat Saints, who are head and shoulders above any other team in the league this season.
Sorry, but the result was for me a foregone conclusion.

I think high expectations were justified when we had the 1st choice guys out there.

The expectations of [isensible[/i posters on here were at a higher level than previous seasons due to the quality of this seasons squad.
Obviously, due to injuries, this season has become more difficult.
However, even with all this happening, other posters expectations would still not be as low as yours.
