I'm sure there's been a thread about this before but MC has posted on twitter that the captain has been decided and there will be an interview coming up on trinity TV. Do we think Kirmo has got the nod again? and who would be VC if so

Heard that rumour too. Interesting if true I thought the VC would go to an 80 minute player, thought Miller may have been spelled with Hampshire this year as he as gone well in pre-season but maybe Finny will be spelled, hence Batchy doing some goal kicking in the friendlies.

I wouldn't have a problem if Kirmond was given the honour again. He faces real competition this year for his shirt which he acknowledges, but the guy has been a great servant over the years & spoke this week that he wouldn't want to play for another SL club. Maybe it's just words but I believe the guy.

There's enough senior players at the club now that one of a number could do a good job on the field with Horo's name being mentioned in a few interviews about the influence he's already having and that's not leaving out Finn, Grix and probably a couple of others.

At the very least Danny should be named the club captain as I believe that he is.

I would have Ashurst as Captain personally.

I think KIRMO needs to be captain - if he is dumped think it may cause drama in the squad- he for 1 wouldn't be happy- he may talk to other players to

it's not just words though, if he didn't have the club at heart then he would have gone to Salford or Warrington when he had the chance. Not to mention he was star of one of the best Photoshop edits I have seen.

Deserves a new deal just for that alone.

What a stupid thing to say - in which version of the universe does Kirmo strike anyone else as the type of player who would deliberately unsettle his colleagues because he didn't get the Captain's armband?! Surely the very fact that he's not that type of guy is what made him such a good choice in the first place.

At the end of last season he openly said he didn't know if he wanted to be captain this season and big Dave mentioned this too in an interview but said that the lads wanted him to stay on.

Yes good choices and I like the way they talk about Milky being a long term Captain.

This comment flies in the face of everything DK is about. He could have quite easily left when the club was struggling and has played through injuries on many occasions. What an insult to a great Trinity man!

I would expect one of the captain or VC to be an 80 minute player? As it happens I think CC has done very well with the captain and VC appointments.

Happy with Kirmond continuing as captain, he is the leader on and off the field. The only choice really.

Surely it's only 2 more sleeps seeing as you posted this at 6am on tues 30th Jan (Sydney time) so you have just Tuesday Wednesday Nights in Australia until the Thursday game KO at 7:45 UK time (1:45am Friday Sydney time), unless you're off to bed early to have a few hours kip, but that's still only 3 nights
