Joey Johns spent a while yesterday explaining why with his dodgy knee he cannot turn when defending, therefore misses tackles and is a soft target for attackers, leaving gaps between himself and his centre/second row. Whether this is a temporary thing, not so sure. Not the sort of player we need IMO.
Will also be way out of our price range with Wire/Wigan interest.

Wasnt aware of the knee issues.

Hodkinson will definitely be after more money than Williams. Hodkinson was playing in the Grand Final and for NSW a couple of years ago.

Hodgkinson has signed for Hull KR ready for their return to SL as I'm told, linking up with ex childhood friend Justin Carney.

Couldnt see a team in Hull KRs current position, being in the running to land a half back of his calibre. Theyre not guaranteed to be in super league.

I could spend hours listening to Johns, Fittler and Lockyer talking Rugby on Premier Sports. They read the game on a whole other level, which is not surprising when you consider the players they were.

It has taken time for him to settle, but for me since about the halfway point of the weekly rounds, I have seen enough to warrant a contract extension.

Would like to see him do a bit more of the kicking on the last as I think he is better at this then Finny, but Finny is the better goalkicker.

It does though seem to have gone quiet over him staying, and the longer it is, probably the less likely he will stay. With this in mind, plus the fact that I think we need to start looking at Finnys successor, I think of the right half back came along, within budget, there would be nothing wrong in taking an interest

I think comparing Finn and Williams is a bit of a red herring. At the moment Finn is better in almost every way imho. However if you look at finnwhen he was Williams age then you have a more interesting comparison. I'd say Williams is better than Finn was at that age. So long term Williams looks a good bet.

Watched the game back on TrinityTV with TC and cameraman Andy Davies, Williams try from the scrum was a throw back. Good old fashioned running stand off try.

I think he's been solid all year to be honest, good defensively.

Williams played his bed game for club , admittedly behind a pack that was dominating throughout . TBH he owed us one , decent defensive performance and odd cut out pass does not make a scrum half or stand off imo. Havibg said that as millers fit cc now has a dilemma drop Williams or annikin from last weeks team ?
