With the injury list getting bigger im thinking we should be resting a fair few next week and bringing in acadamy lads.i would rest the following

Jowitt (took knock today)
Moore- cant afford to miss him in semi
Miller & finn -played every game up to now lets not tempt fate
I would add arona sio ashurst to list too

Players like owen tansey yates crowther walker batcholer while kirmond a topou and scruton need game time.

Yes the semi final is important. But I also want us to rip out their spleens for the earlier fixture.

Unfortunely I think there will only be limited rotation as we have a few injuries and also as the derby is a big game in general we will want to get them back for the past couple of years. Id only rest players that are fatigues and carrying knocks apart from that play our best team and hope some players get match fitness and a bit of form going into the semis. Im sure every player will be putting their hands up as they'll want to show why they want to play in the CC.

Yes I get what you're saying but conversely the last thing before the Semi, is for us to put a weakened side out and get spanked at home by Cas, that could do much more harm than resting players imo. There's an argument to be made to take this excellent win against Catalans and the confidence it brings and run with it into the next game. I'd personally only rest those with niggles. CC knows what he's doing , he knows the players the best and will assess the best way to go. He also has the experience of last year and should know how to play this.

Totally agree, it's two potential three games and I expect every player to be ready and up for these - no time for resting now - this is the time to throw cation to the wind and believe al 30 squad members are worth their place.

Resting players before a big game never works.
They need to be battle hardened.

I only worry about Moore and a ban. He can get those while sitting at home watching the game.

Not anymore he's now got the same solicitor as SOL - www. Get your match ban reduced to nothing even if you remove their head with an axe .com

Moore is one of if not the best player we have but the likelihood of him getting a ban after the Cas game is always going to be high.
I'd be tempted to rest him............but we haven't got that many players to replace him with. I quite like Sio at 13.

I'd probably take the risk and play those that are fit. Kirmond in if now fit so he has game time ahead of Semi.
Would prefer not to player Walker. He was awful last time out (imho). Depends what is up with Simon.

It wasn't that bad but he did catch him high and hard.

Rotate the forwards, keep the halves together and rest anyone with a serious knock but, let's keep the winning mentality and the grit and determination (which we had in spades on Saturday).
It's important that we improve our timing and passing.
The one aspect that has been lacking from our game, especially over the last 4-6 weeks is ball control and if we improve our completion rate we will be very, very difficult to beat.

whilst we are still a chance of the top 4 (we could be only 4 points behind) we pick the best team......we win half our games in the middle 8 we could sneak into 4th

Like your sentiments but, we wont be in the top 4, even if we go unbeaten in the super 8's.
There is a danger ion Sunday, that players will try and save themselves for the semi.
Hopefully, Chester can keep them thinking "1 game at a time" but, for most of the players, this will all be the biggest game of their careers
and you couldn't blame them for having their minds on the semi and this could mean that Cas score a few.

I know that we are playing Cas but, given a choice, I'd take a defeat on Sunday, if we can win at Leigh

So we get 2 on Sunday + 14 in the S8s giving us 16 points. Saints and Catalans both lose this weekend then only beat Cas and Widnes and draw with each other , 5 pts.

It just isnt going to happen, although I will happily come and eat humble pie by the barrow load if it does.
I'll be more than happy if we manage 4 wins from 8 and that will probably leave us in 6th, a brilliant achievement !

For me, an entertaining pressure free (MPG) rollercoaster on a top 8 tour for me, I'd be happy with that.
