| To be fair, clubs usually only take loanees where there is a specific need, I can't see why we need him at this particular time.

| I haven't heard this but certainly wouldn't refuse him.
As good as the form Miller and Finn are showing, we all know form comes and goes, also I would rather have a proper 6 or 7 to come in, should one of them get injured. If I recall, Finn took a heavy knock against Wigan early on, and whilst he ran it off, it would be good to have proper cover.
Also, should it be true, some loans do go permanent, Finn will be 33 or 34 when his deal expires, it would be a good idea to have another option, should he retire.

| Kelly is a bit of a loose cannon, undoubted talent but not sure he is what is required. Probably wouldn't grumble if he came to be honest though.

| I'd be happy with Kelly, Loan move would be best. It's a shame he is a bit of a treatment table, he's class on his day.

| Good player on his day with the ball, complete liability in defence.
Is he a better player than Finn? Yes he is, but would he fit into our team as well as Finn does? I am not sure
I think I would be pleased if he did come but I can't see it happening

| Why would Hull KR want to loan him out, especially with the amount of injuries they already have. Also aren't all their fans waiting for him and Campese to be both fit for them. Or am I missing something.

| I can't see the point - we're in a good place, our hb's are gelling and we're about as potent in attack as I can recall in many a year; what would be the point of Kelly coming here to warm the bench just in case Finn gets injured?
I would imagine it has more potential to disrupt a very coherent squad, than to add any value.

Agree totally. We are in a good place at present and yes that could alter but we need some consistency. tis could affect confidence in some players which we can ill afford. Maybe a consideration at the back end for next year

| ive been told that we are looking at much better for next year so don't quite see the point of Albert Kelly coming.
If HKR want to pay him to play for us as a means to get him out of their club then he might be worth a shot, who knows like many before him he might find Wakefield to be exactly what he needs to play his best rugby.

| Wondered how long it would be until this filtered through, not really a loan but effecitively a full release from KR, he won't play for them again. Has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave, expect the announcement in a couple of weeks.
He will take some getting fit though, he's not in the best shape he's ever been in.

| I would rather have Travis Burns who is out of favour at St's. Good cover for half back and can play loose etc.

| Kelly on his day is outstanding, light years ahead of the likes of Miller. He always starts with a bang as well so short term he'd be great.
God knows what has gone on with his with us, seems to play when he wants and then is injured til the next big game. Has looked fat and uninterested this year when we've actually seen him.
Don't think Travis Burns and Chester are the best of bed fellows, he caused a lot of disruption at our place and I think it was Chesters decision to take the money and good riddance when he went to Saints

On recent form, I'd take Miller over him all the live long day; a young player who has found his mojo and is currently playing out of his skin - against your description of Kelly, it's a no-brainer.

Have you seen Miller recently? Never his biggest fan but I can tell you now Kelly is not and never was "light years" ahead of Miller based on recent form. I'll give you better but not "light years"

| Thought Kelly stood out during HKR's purple patch last season, but his form (like the rest) dropped away badly towards the end.

| It's amazing how Miller now has become a superb player.
Last season, if people were offered a swap between Miller and Kelly, Kelly would have won hands down for just about everybody.
Although Kelly is a good player, we don't need to shoehorn a player in at the expense of someone who hasn't let the team down.
At KR, Kelly is the Miller and Campese the Finn, you put Kelly and Miller together and I can see disaster.
Keep the money in the pocket for now.

He's probably one of the best defensive halfs in the comp. regularly gets through 30 tackles and more a game. Getting him on the field is the headache. Plus who pays his wage? It's a bit squeamish.

Must admit, when I've seen Kelly, he seems to get stuck into the tackling side as well.
Maybe this is half his problem, he's getting too involved?

| Just because he makes 30 tackles a match doesn't mean he is a good tackler. It could mean his energy levels aren't great and teams target him then he is less energetic in attack. I think in some ways his injuries or lack of interest maybe down to this.
Miller when given freedom is better than Kelly based on the fact he now is making it happen for us. Also really the biggest reason I say he is better is he isn't made of china and has the heart for it. At WTW we can't carry passengers we can't afford to.

| i think Kelly could be a risk. We have had our share of sicknote players over the last few years i.e Anderson and Kirke. We can't risk any more. If we are definitely looking at half backs I would want one better than Kelly.
