Pita Godinet...?

Is there a meaning to this thread?

Someone has asked on Twitter if he's re signing.
There is some reply to someone about London first then Wigan.
I don't really do Twitter but maybe 2+2=27?

He was replying to Lewis Brown who is in the Kiwi squad. London and Wigan are the venues of the 2nd and 3rd tests.

That's that sorted.

I don't know why but it doesn't look like he will be playing for us next year.... That's all I know, such a shame ..

So we can take it that Pita will sign within the next week.

We've lost better players than Pita Godinet in the past and coped. I don't quite get this God like obsession fans have with him. He clearly has ability but hasn't had anywhere near the consistency of a top player.

I like Godinet but he needs to get consistently fit. If we keep him great, if not I'm confident we'll land a comparable player in.

Pita is good as an impact player off the bench when defences are tired. Was supposed to sign for saints half way through season for season coming up but they backed out. He's wanting more money but we are not budging apparently. If no one comes in with a better offer then will stay. Not sure of how long we have given him to sign though.

At the lunch club yesterday MC said so far he had no offers to play any where next season.

We have no quota space left for NFT players!

Based on what? I've said it on a separate thread but unless the quota rules have changed before the end of last season and next we could still sign those rumoured (A Tupou, Pomeroy) and resign Godinet if we so wish.

Michael Carter said yesterday that we had 2 quota and 1 Non Fed Trained spots available. He also said that Godinet was a quota player, not a NFT. If Tupou and Pomeroy were to sign and are quota players then there is no spot for Godinet. If Tupou is a NFT them we would have a quota spot available.

He has said on Twitter that there will be 2 overseas players announced next week so things may be clearer.

So MC is playing for us next season then?


What position does he play?

If we sign a French player then I assume they count on neither.

Pomeroy isn't French, unless you have someone else in mind ?

Pita is a tricky one some matches I think he was great and look forward to him the week after then he will be poor. I haven't seen a consistent string of performances yet.If he goes we shall cope we wont have much depth in the halfs if he goes tho.
