I don't think it's a rumour that we're signing 9 players, I can remember reading an interview with MC and he said we had 8 players signed up and possibly three or four more to finalise contracts.

Isn't Godinet off contract? Joined ahead of 2014 on a 2 year deal. Doesn't that mean he's no longer our player?

I wish him well but I don't see Owen ever being SL class again after 2 such bad injuries. The first one robbed him of so much speed and power, another one will leave him short of the required standard

Would be really surprised if soward came to us. Isn't hall still under contract for next year. Surely he will feature if he is now fit again.

BJB has to play wing or FB. He's definitely not a centre

Think it's a case of playing the best team we have, if we don't recruit another centre then BJB would probably be the best option.

Ashley Gibsons been rumoured so maybe him at centre with BJB at Full Back but how long can we hold Jowett back.

I'd love to see us sign a big South Sea Islander prop in the mould of Adam Watene.

I'm being a bit mischievous with the Jamie Soward suggestion, I think his wage demands will be too high, maybe Finn or another gamble on someone like Godinet.

Christian Ackroyd is the best home grown half we've got at the club, he's another who's made the England Academy squad, but it's probably too early to push him into 1st team duties.

Christian has like you say,plenty of potential,but I feel a long way from SL level.Defenately one for the future.

Do we know of the current squad which we have signed up or released.

Not heard anything as yet. Think I'd like tupou to stay. Gets us on the front foot coming out of our half. Looking forward to the next few announcements. Hope they keep the good feeling been generated going!

Greg Eden

Eden Johnson and BJB will give us one of the fastest back 3 in the league. From ridiculously slow to sublime! Eden is rocks and diamonds though embrace the errors and you'll really appreciate the great stuff he can do.

If we do that it's not only poor recruitment but a waste of talent.
If you buy a load of wingers and no centres you'll lose simple as that.
It's a team game and you need to build a team not a bunch of good players.

I'd rather buy an average centre who can pay a bit than play someone out of position.

The team is based on who rumours are connecting us to.

I'd love us to be connected with two class centres but as yet, we aren't.

Gibson is an average at best centre who is actually better on the wing. A decent finisher good returner for making yards, pretty woeful in defence . definitely better then Ritchie Owen though. In light of what's happened with Carney I'm a tad disappointed he's left.

I'm referring specifically to this part. I don't agree with your point. Clearly we don't actually have this team but if they recruit it, and play it like you say, they are missing a trick.

Spot on there mate, his diamond days are international class but you have to put up with skiploads of rocks before you get one.

That has been Edens problem pulls some sublime stuff off then goes and drops 3 clangers who knows maybe the stint in Oz will have made him a better player but don't see him being a Brian Smith sort of signing when you look at the sides he moulded together at Bradford and Hull

Can see Brian Smith signing players more like Scott Dureau and Ben Pomeroy.....
