| I agree. He's not one that is mentioned often with more glamorous names always more likely but this is well deserved for him.

| Keith is my Great Uncle and whilst we have never really had much contact I am sure this is a very proud moment for his more direct family.
Speaking to my mum, his niece, he hasn't been in very good health for a while so hopefully a nice timely boost for him personally.

| A workhorse who certainly knew how to tackle - unlike some I could name in the present team!

| Keith Holliday was a hard as nails lad
I remember a game against Bradford I think when Fairbanks, one of the biggest forwards in the league upset Keith by some foul play
2minutes later Fairbanks was helped from the pitch after Keith had squared things up
As The player was helped off one of our fans shouted to Fairbanks "packs a wollop doesn't he "
To loud applause from the trinity fans

Well it was meant in the widest sense of the words - to put it another way - he was a grafter, who tackled hard and often broke from the scrum in the way a good old fashioned scrum half did. I fully appreciate he had skills otherwise he wouldn't have been such an integral part of the early 60's team.

Holiday relied more on his football brain and tactical nouse than he did on speed, It would be unfair to call him a carthorse although with the size of him it's not difficult to think that way, playing at the side of Kenny Rollin and then fishcake made him look even bigger than he was, but to call him a thoroughbred would imo be stretching it a bit.

| Don came to us after we had already won the cup three times.
It was Neil who firstly played alongside the likes of Holiday , Rollin and Poynton.
Holiday retired and Rollin went to Leeds.
Don of course then played alongside Poynton and Neil ,as we won the championship Twice and lost at Wembley in '68.
The latter occasion Neil was injured hence Don taking that kick!

| Anyone remember his son's,Barry I think, fleeting appearances for us in the 80s? Similar to Belly coming from the local amateur game.

| Your right john Willey he went to Bramley as coach took David and Malcolm Sampson there too . Keith was a no noncence player started out as a centre / stand off was always like an extra forward when moved to scrum half, in the days when scrums were competitive WO betide a scrum half facing holiday and Derek Turner at the base of the scrum certainly no place for faint hearts

| I'm almost sure it was Keith who swapped one of his Wembley jerseys for Richard Harris's sheepskin coat. Great story.
A bit like Don Fox in moving from half-back to loose-forward and then prop.
He also did a fine job as Bramley coach as mentioned above.
