I have noticed this for a while now that of all the teams currently playing in SL Wigan are by far the worst for challenging and back chatting the ref. They are Wigan of course so that means that they can obviously get away with this (as well as constantly throwing forward passes that are not penalised). Bring back Ganson - he had the backbone to bin them - the rest are allowing this to drift into the game.

It's not just Wigan - it's been creeping into the game for a while now; whatever happened to "yes sir, sorry sir?"

What I did notice about Wigan last night was the childish sledging whenever a Brisbane player made an error or they put on a big shot; I know it's part of the game, but when it goes over the top like that, it just looks pathetic; even Bentham commented that they were like kids in a playground.

Referees calling players by their christian name is ridiculous. It breeds familiarity and this shouldn't be the case.
Union referees speak to players through the number on their shirt. Very rarely do you see union players at professional or amateur level having a go and squaring up verbally to the referee. It was interesting to see Smith stepping into Childs personal space just before he was sinbinned for kicking out the other week - he was close enough to snatch a quick kiss.

I do think Wigan at the moment are very unattractive in all sorts of ways - I enjoyed watching them get beat last night. It was noticeable that after Gelling got yellow carded Logan Tomkins appeared to be trying to put the kicker off by rolling his arms up and down as the kick was being taken - correct me if I am wrong but I think you are supposed to stand still as the kick is being taken. Not nice.....not nice.

Under Magiure they were subtle but since he has left, the subtlety has faded to what we have now.
A bit like when Brown was at Shudds.
If Bentham can pick up what Wigan are doing against Brisbane and penalise them, then surely him and the other refs should do the same when Wigan are not playing such illustrious opponents?

Bateman acted like a dick all night.

I was actually quite amused by the look of indignation on Wane's face whenever Brisbane got "a bit rough" with Wigan. It's like he's never even watched his own side play the game.

You never know, they may try and re sign Hock!
Him and McIllorum would make a perfect pair.

It was actually a pleasure to see Wigan get stuck into Brisbane on Saturday night. Better than the dross Saints served up. Did anyone see Wilkin moaning like a spoilt brat to the ref every two minutes.

Wilkin was very poor throughout the game, his distribution, decision making, running and kicking were awful as was the urgency he showed on a number of instances (Mathersesque)

Maybe he should have canned the backchat one concentrated on his game

Wilkin has always been a moaner - maybe his role as RL's shop steward has made him more vocal?

Wilkin has took over from Wellens who was the biggest whinger ever to play the game.

Sinfield has to be up there as well, surely.
